Can the treasure chest be submerged under water and if so does it stay on the bottom of the pool?

Yes, this treasure box can be submerged in water. This is why I chose this box instead of the wood treasure chests. I don't think this will stay at the bottom of the pool; it will float on top of the water. The gems are beautiful and I'm very happy with the size of them! Hope this helps!
