Huixuan Antique Black Plated Ceiling Hooks for Hanging Cup Mug Rubbed Bronze,1/2 Inch,80-Pack

I initially ordered 80 1 1/4 inch hooks for several DIY crafting projects only to realize after pulling them out of the package they were too big. I wanted to do an exchange for the smaller hooks but was told by Amazon they could not be returned/exchanged. I read all the rules pertaining to returns and couldn't find anything that applied to my order. VERY disappointed I reordered the required size and now have 80 larger hooks I'll probably never use. The hooks were supposed to be an antique bronze but look more like an antique black which are still beautiful and will fit my need for them. I wanted to give a lesser rating but can't justify it with it being Amazon's return/exchange policy on this particular merchandise.

I would call them a nickel bronze as they are a bit more silverish, than brown, as far as bronze paint goes. Appear to be steel (magnetic) painted, large enough to hold large coffee mugs and soup mugs. Relatively soft metal, so pre-drilling a pilot hole is a must. I bent a couple tightening into soft douglas fir with too small a pilot hole. Hard to get shape back once you bend them. These are large hooks, so pre-drill. Even though they may go into soft pine, you risk splitting the wood. Still a good value over retail if you need more than a couple.

The size and color are as listed,. The seller shipped exactly as expected. The problem is the metal is very soft. I drilled a small pilot hole before screwing the hook by hand into a piece of wood. As I screwed the hook into the wood, it snapped off in my hand. 3 tries later, I had the same results. I finally drilled a slightly larger and longer hole than the hook and glued the hooks in place. I have used this type of hook in the past without a problem. ***** I am editing my review. The seller replaced the hooks from my original order. The replacement hooks have worked just fine.

The antique look of these metal hooks was exactly what I needed for my antique house. The hooks are sturdy and easy to install—I tapped in a small pilot hole w/ hammer + small nail then screwed in the hook with my hand, easily done. A generous amount of 2-inch hooks for the money. It's a product I'm always finding uses for around the house, will certainly purchase again from this seller. Great product.

Loved them! I used most of them to make a jewelry board for myself, but they’re good quality. Not easily bendable but you can bend them if you need too. I screwed it into compressed wood so it was a little rough on my hands but if you put them in walls it was be much easier, plus they don’t leave large holes to plus.

These hooks are a perfect match in my rustic cabin. While they are a bit more expensive than the common gold colored hooks available in many retail outlets, they are well worth the price for my application.

I bought a shelf from Amazon for by my front door, and wanted some hooks for it so I could hang keys. These hooks were absolutely perfect!!! They hold the keys and I also have one that holds the dog leash. The color is great, and fits with any rustic theme you may be going for.

These took a little longer to arrive, but came in a week. I am used to two days, so I am spoiled, but they are great quality and just what I needed to hang a basket on my front porch to hold mail. I know I ordered more than I needed, but one can always find use for cup hangers.
