After delays with the courier, poor communication and absolutely no tracking updates until my complaint to Amazon prompted action at the eleventh hour, the item finally arrived... two days late! What a pleasant surprise. Unlike so much flat-pack furniture these days, this arrived as a traditionally constructed piece of furniture, properly and securely jointed, fully built and ready to use. The quality is immediately apparent. It is made from genuinely solid wood, feels sturdy and substantial, and is very well constructed. From the moment you handle it, you can tell this is a quality piece of furniture rather than a cheaply made alternative. My only suggestion to Hallowood would be to consider producing an optional extension base or stand. I would prefer to mount the unit slightly higher (perhaps 30–40 cm above floor level), but the existing base is clearly designed as a floor-standing unit. A matching raised stand or trellis-style support would make an excellent accessory. Overall, this is a high-quality, well-made piece of furniture that I would happily recommend.

Product was delivered in 2 days, earlier than the estimated delivery date. It was ordered for my father and we were both very pleased with the look and quality of the storage cabinet. The oak wood complimented very well the other pieces of oak furniture he already had. It is fully assembled and is sturdy and has a good weight to it. I would definitely buy other pieces of furniture from this company in the future. A very nice piece of furniture. Fits DVDs as well as CDs can also store smaller books

This is the second DVD unit I have bought from this company. It is very well made. Reasonably priced. A lovely item. I highly recommend this company who, when I hadn't received the first one when it was due, (around this time last year), went all out to find out what had happened to it. It had been received to a holding warehouse, local to my home, about a week earlier but had been forgotten about! Thank you Hallowood Furniture. The units provide very smart storage for our CD's and DVD's. They are well made and the oak wood is high quality. We did have to buy additional units, as we underestimated how much space we would need. For 350 plus CD's and around 140 DVD's we initially bought two units, (before purchasing two more). But as mentioned, they provide beautiful storage and work well positioned next to each other, or as stand alone units. Arrived very quickly in super condition... We're very pleased with our purchases, thank you.

Product was delivered very quickly, and it was factory assembled which saved loads of time and effort. It is very sturdy (I did not fix it to the wall) and well put together. I wanted solid wood type product instead of more flimsy chipboard/mdf type, so expected to pay more for it. It’s just the right size for a little gap I had in my office.

You get what you pay for and at just shy of £100 this unit isn’t cheap BUT it is unquestionably worth every penny. It is beautifully made, rock solid yet unobtrusive, lovely wood and perfectly practical. Sturdy enough to stand freely against a wall without the need for additional fastening. Amazon delivery was lightning fast and the shelf came very well packed and arrived in immaculate condition. I am so impressed that l have bought a second one. No assembly needed. A dream purchase. Highly recommended.

Very happy with this unit. Was well priced and looks and feels lovely. I had a lot of questions for the customer service team about the depth and dimensions of the unit as it had to fit a very specific space, and they were extremely helpful and patient providing me with the precise measurements ultimately helping me purchase this. No space wasted on the unit, just shelves for the dvds and other bits, perfect.

Excellent quality (I now have three of these cabinets - two four shelf units and one five shelf. I also have two small coffee tables - all really well made. I have never been disappointed/
