A must have for paper crafters
Not cheap but worth every penny! I do a decent amount of paper crafting which involves a lot of scissor work. These scissors were such a relief on my hands as it took half of the effort away with the "spring opening". They are sharp and cut through cardstock like a breeze. They feel comfortable in my hand and don't feel heavy after extended used. I love the size so that they cut long stretches of paper. I've purchase at least ½ dozen pairs of Tonic Studios Tim Holtz scissors and even tho they are pricey I've NEVER been disappointed!

A lovely pair of craft snips
These are wonderful snips and really help with hand fatigue while crafting. I use them for papercrafting and they are very sharp right to the tip. They come with a blade guard and an extra spring.

Another great Tim Holtz must-have for crafting
Makes fussy cutting so much easier. Great for those with hand or wrist arthritis. Tim Holtz always great quality and useful tools well thoughtout for crafters

Save time and frustration, buy these.
I have tried dozens of other similar scissors/pruners, and these are hands down the best I have found in a spring style. They are precise, cut very well, even on materials so thin they slide between the blades of other scissors, and the quality and attention to detail are several orders of magnitude higher than anything else I've seen in this price range. The lock is solid, easy to engage, and doesn't turn on when you don't want it to The handles are comfortable, and won't easily slip even if your hands get sweaty. The blade tips line up perfectly lengthwise, and don't over/under-shoot when closed like so many in this price range do. The grinding is of a finer grain than most, and there are no rough edges. The extra spring and the blade cover are nice added touches! No holes poked in your craft/garden bags! Overall, very impressed with these!

Great scissors
These are some nice little fussy cutting scissors however I like my Cutter Bees better which seem to make a smoother cut. I compared three different Tim Holtz scissors because I had to do some heavy duty fussy cutting for my holiday cards this year. I started with my Cutter Bees which do an excellent job; however, the handles are so small and aren't comfortable with my arthritic hand. The 5" TH scissors are much more comfortable and the reason I was drawn to them for the big handles; they do get the job done. The 7" detail scissors are comfortable to use too but comparatively don't do as good a job as the 5" detail scissors. I also bought the small recoil scissors and I think they're my favorite but they don't do as good a job as the Cutter Bees, so I'll keep practicing with them because they're very comfortable to use. In summary, Cutter Bees are the best for fussy cutting but the handles are too small. I wish they'd make them with bigger handles. The 5" detail scissors are very good and very comfortable. To avoid the serration on the paper, turn them upside down so the serration will be on the part you're cutting out which goes for the 7" ones as well. The 7" detail scissors didn't work well for me for fussy cutting but are very comfortable. The small recoil scissors are fantastic but really not suitable for super intricate cutting, but like I said I'm going to keep practicing with them because maybe it's my technique.

Love these
These are the best scissors, I've ever had! Great for fussy cutting but don't let the kids near them, they are extremely sharp. Even got an extra pair as a present

Design flaws
First, these are very sharp, easy to use, with a few good features scissors. The person who wrote about "thumb holes" is obviously not reviewing these as there are none. What I’m distressed about is how there is no way to keep both springs with the scissors. I put in one, and the other disappeared. I hope it will show up again, but there is nowhere on the scissors to keep the spare spring. Also, it is bad for springs to stay compressed for long periods, and the only way to hang these is for the blades to be locked as tightly as they can go. I like many things about these, but the design team still has work to do.

Works great! Love the fact that there is an extra spring.

The scissors are so nice to use. They are super sharp and have nice thin blades. The only small negative is they are not non stick as advertised. I use them to cut thin double sided tape and after a few days I get build up of the tacky residue. I still love them though and would definitely buy another pair.
