I have worked with sound deadening before in cars, so I was excited to give this new brand a go. WHAT I LIKE. These AggSound mats are truly impressive! Opting for the 590 mil thickness served a dual purpose for me. My vintage car, devoid of any insulation, really gets noisy with highway drives. Additionally, the carpets had flattened over the years. With these mats, I tackled both issues at once! The substantial insulation layer not only marginally muffled some road noise but also revitalized and provided much-needed support to my car's flattened carpets SOUND PROOFING. I want to say these helped reduce the amount of road noise in my car, although not by a huge margin, highway drives sound a bit more muffled which is nice however it's not quite perfect yet. My car is very old and I will likely need to order a few more rolls of this before I can really start to notice a sizeable difference. If you are planning on sound proofing an old 20+ year old car, you may need a few rolls to get every inch! NOTE. The roll I received came a little damaged, it looks like something during the manufacturing process left a gouge and some deep creases. Although this will not affect performance at all, I can't deduct any starts for it. Overall, this is not a bad choice for sound proofing and insulating, it sticks well, cuts very easy, and overall it's a pleasure to work with in confined spaces like under the seats and dash. At the current advertised price (29.99) you get a decent amount, enough to do the front seats and floor of just about any car. I can recommend this product from AggSound for more reasons than one!
