I love it! Was worth the wait… Shipping is slow… and I’m nervous
Another update 9/12/24 I love this laptop. It suits my needs perfectly! The transition to Windows 11 was seamless. It’s light and I can easily move it as I need to. Price was amazing, too! Update: The laptop had been boxed and ready to return for weeks while I agonized over whether to keep it. Because of the 19% restocking fee and possibly being responsible for return shipping - I kept it. After 24 hours so far so good! This laptop is so much lighter than my old Acer, which makes it nice and portable. I had to get a USB SD card converter, and it’s working fine… but I prefer an actual slot. Functionally the laptop is fast and is doing everything I need. Will continue to update. —————————————————————— I ordered 7/16 and tracking states it was picked up and dropped off at a carrier facility 3x, but it doesn’t show what City, State and not sure when it will arrive. Haven’t had a new laptop for about 8 years - we are still using Windows 10 and this is some version of Windows 11. Can I handle this or should I not open and return it? I’m having serious second thoughts based on how many less people purchased this versus other versions. Update: Laptop arrived today. Windows 11 no issue but this only has micro SD slot and I must have regular SD slot. Had some issues with connecting to our wireless internet. It found it then kept losing the connection. No other items have that issue - desktop or my 8-year old Acer. It was frustrating and not due to our router. Also, it was supposed to have 1TB of storage but where is it? This computer only showed c drive with 953 GB max. I will keep you updated on return/refund process. You have to request a refund from the Seller and they are supposed to respond within 48 hours.

A Decent Machine For the Price
*Update* For a fair and complete representation, I should comment on a couple of the things I mentioned in my review. First, I mentioned not being able to register the serial number or the SNID with Acer. When I asked the seller about this, they indicated that they would be responsible for any warranty service for the year's warranty term. I did not ask about buying extended coverage such as Acer Care. Second, the bundled items that the product description mentioned. There was a card with a QR code on it,which asked me to ask for the bundled item. I did this, and then when I didn't receive any sort of email confirmation (only a web confirmation page), I asked the seller to confirm the request, which they did. I just received the bundle item today. The bundled item was a 500GB USB hard drive. Not a SSD certainly, but a free 500GB hard drive is a free 500GB hard drive. It's a Toshiba drive in a sturdy alumimium enclosure, retail shrink wrapped, and USB-A and USB-C connection, whichever you might need. Still quite happy with this machine and with the value received, especially with the $150 off coupon. The original review is below. I bought this because I needed a Windows machine. My needs aren't particularly demanding: I'm not a gamer, and I don't edit video or anything like that. I don't absolutely have to have the latest processor. I've been a Mac user exclusively for several years, but I find some things that the PC just does better in my use case. And anything I have that runs Windows without emulation is over 10 years old, and very slow. I had a couple requirements; as I say, my needs aren't terribly demanding, but I wanted something that would run fairly quick (booting in shorter than 2-3 minutes, for example), at least 512GB drive, USB-A and USB-C. Ethernet would be a nice to have. At least 16GB RAM. And, philosophically, I wanted some upgradability, not having RAM or SSD soldered in. This one checks all of those boxes. I don't much care about ghraphics performance or that the keyboard is not backlit, I'm totally blind and don't need no stinkin' lights. :-) So with all that, I spent the extra $40 to get 32GB of RAM instead of 16. Setup was standard Windows setup. Narrator worked great for setting it up and I had absolutely no snags there. No need to track down anyone with working eyeballs. It boots pretty fast, and one really important and unexpected feature, it appears that this has a straight up Windows install without a bunch of bloatware. I was able to install my Office 2021 without any trouble, and I got a different screen reader installed too. The keyboard feels pretty good with a reasonable tactile feel. Keys are full sized, not shrunken at all, with good travel. Build quality seems to be good as well, and while not the lightest thing ever, it isn't too heavy either. Of course, I grew up with machines that weighed quite a bit more. In case anyone is wondering, the power adapter is old school, barrel plug for the side of the machine, not USB-C. That may matter to some of y'all, not to me though. Shipping was fast and the box was well packed. Very pleased so far, even though it's only been a day. I only have two gripes. The speakers aren't great. Oh, they're loud enough, but audio fidelity is somewhat limited. Somewhat tinny, lots of highs. Also, there's something a bit odd. The SNID that came up in acer's serial number finder, as someone else mentioned, got returned on Acer's site as "We are unable to locate..." as someone else mentioned in their review. Also, according to my wife (who has working eyeballs), there are two serial numbers and two SNID's on separate stickers on the bottom of the computer. One set did match what the software gave me, at least, but none of them worked to register the product with Acer. I do plan to call Acer and ask them about how to handle this, and I have a note in to WowPC asking about it. I also asked aabout the WowPC bundle thing, which appears to be some sort of 500GB external drive. Not sure when that will come, but I'm not too bothered about it. Nice extra if it comes. I will say also that the phone number for customer service listed on the vendor page just rang...not even voicemail when I called. That's perhaps a little bit disturbing. Hopefully they answer online queries more efficiently. Over all, I'm satisfied with this machine and think it will serve well.

Piece of Junk
Stopped working in 6 months with regular use and near-perfect care. I had checked my updates and files just days before and it told me nothing was wrong. I’m tired of acer laptops. How am I supposed to get through the semester? I’m switching brands.

So far so good...
No problems getting it up and running, seems to be a nice laptop. I'm holding back 1 star until I receive the WOWPC 500Gb bundle, which did not come with the laptop. Instead there was a card inside with an email address where I submitted the request. Will update if and when I get that promised bundle of stuff. I will say so far I'm happy with the laptop. Nice resolution and okay keyboard and very light.

Great Design
I use this for school every day and it is the first laptop I’ve ever had. Works amazing and is great for college students for a more affordable laptop than a Mac. It does the job just like any other laptop could for a more affordable price. It’s easy to connect and set up and the size is big enough if you like a big screen. The battery life is good and the WiFi speed is great.

Mislabeled product. Decent laptop.
This is the Aspire lite, not a premium laptop. It doesn't have a backlit keyboard or finger scanning security. It is as barebones as it comes. -Ok camera -Sound quality is terrible. It sounds like it's muffled -computer speed is decent as well.

A great mid-level laptop.
If you're looking for a laptop in 500 to 600 dollar (full price with taxes) range, then this is the one to get. You get the current newest version of Windows, a healthy amount of RAM and SSD disk space, and fairly decent performance from the AMD CPU and video combo. It also has the right amount, and types, of the most useful ports built-in (so no additional port adapter is needed). This isn't a high-end gaming machine, but it works quite well as a web/office/coding/school machine. The back-lit keyboard with small numpad is a great plus for those late nights of studying. Overall, you're getting a really nice laptop for the money. It was shipped and delivered quickly as well.
