Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.
I purchased this for my partner to go with his new Cpt. Picard tea cups, and SPECIFICALLY this blend because Jean Luc Picard is French (not English) --for those of you reading this and saying to yourselves, "Uh, France doesn't exist in the 24th century, blah, blah, blah," understand that I didn't want to spend the majority of this review explaining the history of the Star Trek universe so, please, forgive me. Anyway, I have tried a lot of Earl Grey blends, and I mean a LOT (I'd wager a guess that it's probably somewhere around 20+ different kinds), and I fell in LOVE with this as soon as that lid came off. PROS: Holy mother of tap dancing jesus, this stuff is INCREDIBLE. Strong bergarmot and cornflower fragrances, citrus aromatics. It's full bodied, and doesn't get dry if you let it steep for (what some might consider) waaaaay too long --I specifically use loose-leaf tea (I'm pretty I've learned how to taste paper over the years from all the tea bags and I couldn't stand it) and with my "Smart Tea Maker" from GROSCHE I can just leave the loose tea in the body of my tea maker until I'm done with it. What I mean is, by the time I've gotten to the last cup the tea has been sitting in water for at least 20 - 30 minutes. With most other Earl Grey teas I've had, this tends to make the tea feel dry in your mouth, sort of like a really dry red wine, but not with this! This is smooth, flavourful, warm, nostalgic even! I am a HUGE fan and will absolutely be purchasing this blend again, and I'm planning on trying some of TWGs other blends as well. CONS: It's friggin expensive!!! It was a Christmas present so it was worth it this time, but I don't think I can ever justify paying full-price on a regular basis for it.

My new fav black tea!
Delicious black tea, ideal for early cozy evenings in my case. You donโt need a huge amount for the pot so you enjoy the box for a while.

Worth the price
A friend gifted me with this tea after a trip to London. I was hooked! The flavor is rich and not harsh or acid-y like some teas. It has a wonderful aroma. I was worried that I would never be able to buy it here in the US, so I was pleased to see it offered on Amazon. It is much more expensive than other teas, so I suspect most will buy it as a gift or special treat, and it's worth it.

Quality tea... with average flavor... A true disappointment Not worth the $$$.
Its quite AWRAGE tea. I had really HIGH expectations of this very expensive, and very small container. I mean its a good tasting tea, good quality tea (large tea-leaves). But for $40 one would expect to be WOWED by the flavor profile of the tea. Only this tea is no better and no worse than a $20 tea from other quality reputable vendors. I was not Wowed. I was barely even hmmm-ed. The tea is so very average tasting, it was a true letdown. Will not buy again. I consider it a trap.
