I recently installed this YBDDZH Water Pump and Thermostat Kit on my 2016 Buick Encore, and the pump itself has been excellent. The casting is high quality, the fitment was perfect, and it has completely solved my overheating issues. However, I want to share a lesson I learned during the install to save others some frustration. I originally tried to be "extra safe" by buying a separate, expensive upgraded aluminum thermostat housing instead of using the one included in this kit. That was a mistake. The aluminum upgrade I bought ended up leaking significantly from the sensor port under pressure. I had to tear everything back apart and install the plastic thermostat housing that came with this YBDDZH kit. Once I put the kit's housing on, the leak stopped immediately. The seal at the sensor port is much more reliable on this unit. The pump is quiet, the gasket sealed perfectly, and the car is finally running cool again. If you are looking to refresh your 1.4L cooling system, this kit is a great value. Just trust the parts included—they work!

No issues since I've done the job myself. First time ever mechanic job for this CNA. My story is that i went to company 3 times to have my car stop overheated. First they did the coolant reservoir. Weird, i installed that myself. Then they swapped the thermostat. Then i had to go back to them the third time, to tell me that, 'oh- it's the waterpump, we have a video of it.' I already spend thousands into this, and they didn't think to check ALL the components in regards of coolant? Nah. So i did it myself, i was paying for trial and error and i saved and additional 1K which btw, i already paid about 1.3-.4K. If you do intend to this job by yourself, it's TOUGH. Especially with the chevy trax 2020 DIY. The car is literally designed pouhpy so that you HAVE to rely on repair shops. -YOUTUBE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND, USE IT IF YOU INTEND TO DO THIS JOB YOURSELF. -DON'T FORGET TO 'BURP YOUR CAR' AFTER INSTALLMENT. The fit is oem, if not better. The value for money is perfect- like i said, i saved a thousand vs the price of this (not including prices for tools). Also, make sure you purchase a particular screw for this water pump, in the chevy manual they say it's recommended to replace that as well as the waterpump. I'm not 100% sure which one since there's so many. I've never had an overheating issue since then.

Installed the whole waterpump/thermostat kit on a 2018 Buick Encore and so far its holding and working great.

Didnt have high hopes but it’s been in for a few weeks with no issues. I didn’t like the paper gasket so I decided to source a better one and also used some sealant. Worth the money and seems of decent quality. The machining seems precise and the clearances are tight. Someone paid attention.

I bought this i installed it on the car And in one day water pump started to make very loud noise. And started to leak the gasket liked blow or cracked in few places. I did bleed the system. This is just wast of time and money and my antifreeze. I am not happy at all. The thermostat is ok for now. I would like some of my money back. I can send pictures of the water pump and also the water pump propeller is made of cheap material that it actually bend it some peaces.
