TL;DR: This product is amazing. After a terrible experience with another brand, this magnetic lock was a huge relief. The mounting tool actually stays in place, the measuring tool works well (even with uneven cabinet gaps), and the design allows a little wiggle room so installation doesn’t have to be perfect. Solid, well-designed product and worth the money, especially for parents. I ordered this after wasting three magnetic locks from another manufacturer and sending it back for a refund. Honestly I felt like a moron because I couldn't do it. This product, however, was different. The mounting tool fits snugly onto the lock, which makes installation so much easier. With the other product, the lock kept sliding off during install; this one stays put. The measuring tool didn’t fully solve the spacing issues on my cheaper cabinets and drawers (different gaps and insets), but this method worked perfectly every time: 1. I used a piece of paper to find the exact distance, then marked it on the measuring tool with a tiny rubber band. 2. I attached the lock (without the backing) and the measuring tool to the mounting tool. (just the top piece, not the part with the switch) 3. Using the measuring tool, I affixed the lock portion with light pressure... just incase I needed to remove it. 4. I attached the other part (the piece with the switch) without the backing to the mounting tool. 5. Closed the door or drawer. 6. Tested it in case I needed to reposition it (I didn't have to reposition any of the locks). 7. Applied pressure and waited to use it as instructed. One final thing I really appreciated: unlike the other brand, this installation tool leaves a small amount of wiggle room before the lock catches. So, unlike the other product, the distance doesn’t have to be precise. After my terrible experience with the other manufacturer, I was very nervous to try another product, but this is genuinely high quality and worth it.

These cabinet locks were a game changer! I put off buying any sort of child proof locks for my cabinets because of how insightful and ugly most of them are. These ones are incredible because you have no idea that they are there until you try to open the cabinet! I love that these can keep my almost 2 year-old out of the cupboards, but I leave the magnet in a place that’s accessible from my older child so she can grab whatever she needs. The installation was quick and extremely easy. It took seconds to install with the template they provide. I’ve had them installed for at least 6 months now and they are as sturdy as the day I installed them. I just used a wipe with some rubbing alcohol before putting on the adhesive sticker and it has stuck great. What I REALLY love is that I can turn them on and off with the flip of the lever. This is so helpful when the kids aren’t around and I’m cooking and need to get into a few cabinets multiple times. I just switch the lever and voila they open and close. Definitely one of my favorite Amazon buys! Highly recommend for anyone with young kids who enjoys keeping their home eyesore free!

My daughter, son-in-law, and grandson who just started walking, are moving in with us with temporarily in a few days. I ordered these with the hope of an easy installation, and fully-functioning cabinet door child-proof locks. After a few minutes of trying the provided installation guide, I scanned the installation video. Within minutes I was installing the magnetic locks. I couldn't be happier with the process, the ease of installation, and the functionality of the locks. The 3M adhesive up to the task. Make sure you position it properly, because on smooth surfaces, you won't be able to reposition it due to the strong adhesion. The mounting guide that this product comes with makes positioning and installing a breeze. I installed 18 locks in about 20 minutes. The only problem I had was with a couple of cabinets in which the surface was not smooth. For those I had to screw in the locks. Make sure to use the right screw drill bit. The screws are small and I stripped a couple, until I found the right sized bit. With four magnetic "keys" opening the locks without having to search around for one is not going to be a problem. One of the nicest surprises is that you can easily flip a little lever on the lock, and it will not lock your cabinet doors. A quick flip back and it is fully-functioning. Well worth the price.

Best child locks I’ve found. I was hesitant to get locks that require a key(magnet) to open, however I really needed something that the kids couldn’t break simply by tugging on repeatedly. The locks are super easy and convenient to disable, so when the kids are not around or interested in opening the cabinets and drawers I just leave them unlocked. Instructions and installation was east. It took me a little longer to do than I thought, but I opted to screw them in since I don’t want to keep getting new locks or replacement adhesive. The adhesive was decently strong but my toddlers relentless and strong so I’m not taking any chances. I made these locks work for all my cabinets and drawers however some were not technically compatible. I filed a few down and got creative with the orientation and placement of the locks and they worked great. I will say with a little creativity these will fit any drawer or cabinet.

work really well. adhesive is strong. instructions were a bit confusing for a sec but figured it out. small. renter friendly. took a star away cause they should include more than 2 magnet keys since there’s 16 to unlock… i used in multiple rooms and its annoying having to walk all the way to the other side of the house for one of the keys and forgetting it in a different room. make sure you don’t lose them either cause i tried regular fridge magnet and not strong enough. good at baby proofing tho.

These are incredible! So easy to install and work perfectly. Best purchase I’ve made this year not even kidding. Buy these!

Easy to install. Easy to flip to “locked” before my grandson arrives. Wish there were more than 2 magnets. Bought a few more to strategically place near cabinets in various sides of the kitchen. Definitely would purchase again.

These were easy to install and work great. I love that it’s a way to baby proof without it being an eyesore. They have withstood the constant yanking of my almost 1 year old great the past couple weeks. I have no complaints! They’re a little pricier than other cabinet locking mechanisms but I much prefer these over anything else.

This product is absolutely fantastic and they cannot recommend it enough. The hard part is finding one that is not overpriced on Amazon. If you get lucky enough to find one in the right price range, you’ll have a phenomenal and appropriate price

La mejor compra que he hecho desde que mi bebé camina..jaja las puse en las puertas y cajones de la cocina y la paz volvió a mi cocina. No trae instrucciones para la instalación pero hay videos en YT y realmente es muy sencillo, yo misma las instalé. Tampoco trae los tornillos para asegurarlos bien...creo que deberían incluirlos, pero tampoco fue tanto lío conseguirlos.

The only safety lock worth buying. Simple to instal (don’t be intimidated by the look of the instal device it’s easy after you do one). Works really well and ensures your house still looks good after baby-proofing!). We have them on all kitchen doors and will be adding them to drawers next.

Muy buen producto, llegó en tiempo, cumple perfectamente su función de seguridad para niños. Los adhesivos que incluye tienen un perfecto agarre para niños hasta de 5 años. En caso de niños mayores incluye tornillos los cuales dan una mejor fijación que dependerá más de la calidad del mueble donde lo instales que del seguro. Son sumamente fáciles de instalar, muy resistentes y el imán tienen una potencia excelente para el tipo de mueble para el que está diseñado. Incluye un marco de guía y una regleta para alinear de forma más fácil el seguro y la contra. Yo lo instalé en cajones y puertas de libreros, cómoda, bufetera y despensero. Con muebles de madera, MDF y aglomerado, en todos funcionó de manera correcta y el imán libera el seguro sin problema alguno. Incluye stickers para que se pueda identificar la ubicación del seguro, en mi caso no los utilice por el color de los mismos. Estaría genial que fueran un poco más discretos, pero es un detalle mínimo y va de acuerdo a las necesidades de cada persona. Sin duda una excelente compra y por un precio muy inferior a 1st S.

Llevo 3 meses usándolos. En unos gabinetes incluso mi bebé se apalanca y los jala y no se han caído!!! Solo están puestos con el pegamento, pero te vienen con pequeñas pijas para mejor agarre. Definitivamente una necesidad si no quieres que los seguros de las puertas se vean desde afuera
