THE GALLERY BLACK GRATE POLISH (NOT GRAPHITE!) CLEANER FOR STOVES FIRE GRATES

I read the reviews on Amazon and I was not disappointed. It has made the grate look like new again, I did not have to use much so can put another app,ication in next year. It took a little longer to dry than I expected but it might have been the way I applied the polish. You can buff it to create a good shine. I would definitely recommend this product.

This polish really does go a long way, very little is used to get a good finish to the stove. The colour has remained black and not turned a silver grey. There is a slight odour when applying, but goes off quickly when dry. Once the stove is lit the "odour" is more apparent, requiring some ventilation and takes a while to clear(this is no different to some other products, so has to be lived with). It is advisable to wear old clothing and gloves.

Fantastic and easy to use. My wood burning stove looks brand new. Messy so wear gloves!

Used for the first time to cover blemishes on a new stove, worked very well, Delivery let's it down with royal mail, Said delivered, I was at work, no letter or card in letter box to indicate where parcel was, not even a photo, Luck for me have honest neighbours, Why amazon use royal mail I don't know, 😔

Great polish with no 'greyish' tinge. Fireplace looks like new.

Easy to apply,covers well and you don't need to use too much. Buffs up to a nice shade which is not too shiny and covers the odd water mark easily. Would recommend.

Great stuff. Simply brush on using an old stubby paint brush and then buff with a shoe brush and cloth! Good depth with slight hint of metal. I recommend this product.

I tried 3 products on the market all titled 'black grate polish'. This is the only one that is really 'black' as it doesn't contain graphite. The Zip product will make your black metal slightly grey/silver in lustre, similar to a graphite pencil, as presumably it contains some graphite. That's fine if that's what you want. The Stovax product also contains graphite but presumably more as black metal will appear very grey/silver. If you want complete black then use the Gallery product. Happy polishing!
