I would like to know the country of origin of the raw hide as there have been some problems with hide from the Far East.

I'm sorry I don't know the country of origin of the raw hide but my dogs have had this particular make of chew for over twenty years without ant problems at all. All of my dogs passed away of old age ad my current black Labrador and Russian Ovcharka both love them and their teeth are really clean....hope this helps.

can you tell me if theses have a long date

With our dog the skin rashes and hair loss occured within a week or two. This is the only date that should interest you. But then, maybe your dog is lucky.

Can the manufacturer let me know if these have been soaked in a bleaching solution as I have read before that they are?

are these chews okfor senior dogs

Depends what type of dog you have. I suspect better for larger dogs with good teeth. I found that dentastix were no good for my Labradors as they just eat them so quickly they did no good for their teeth at all. They love these and chew them for several minutes and they seem to keep their teeth in good shape.
