Don't order size by age
I ordered the 8-9 year old rash guard and it was too small for my 8 year old. I'd say maybe a 5-6 year old. So order a size up or 2. Otherwise I think the material is great and the color is very nice. My son likes this rash guard otherwise. Holds up well in the water so far.

Nice but very narrow
The colors are nice and they seem well made, but they are very narrow. I bought a size 6 for my grandson who will be six in October and is bit small for his age. The shirt ran so narrow it made him look like he had a big belly even though he is very thin. I will be returning them.

The best sun protection is the kind you use. Our boy, who sometimes complains about shirts being too scratchy, is more than happy to wear these all day at the beach, pool, or backyard without complaint about scratchiness or getting too hot.
