These CAP neoprene dumbbells are a straightforward, well-executed piece of home gym gear. The neoprene coating is thick and evenly applied – no thin spots, no peeling edges, no bare metal poking through. Grip is comfortable and secure even with sweaty hands, thanks to the textured surface that doesn't slip mid-rep. The hex shape does its job perfectly: they stay flat on the floor, won't roll under furniture, and the flat sides keep them stable when you set them down between sets. Weight is accurate – threw one on a scale and it hit 5.0 lbs on the nose, so no shortchanging there. Color-coding on the ends is bright and easy to read, so grabbing the right pair mid-workout takes zero thought. The pair matches evenly, no wobble or imbalance between the two. For a basic neoprene dumbbell, this checks every box. Only minor observations: there's a slight rubbery smell fresh out of the package (normal for neoprene, fades in a couple days), and the coating will show scuffs if you bang them together repeatedly – but that's cosmetic, not functional. For home use, casual lifting, or even light rehab work, these are a no-brainer. Does exactly what it says on the tin, no surprises, no shortcuts. **Pros:** Thick, even neoprene coating; secure non-slip grip; hex shape prevents rolling; accurate weight; color-coded for quick ID; well-matched pair; floor-friendly for hardwood/tile. **Cons:** Slight new-neoprene odor out of the bag; coating scuffs with heavy metal-on-metal contact; bulkier grip than bare iron; not meant for aggressive dropping; size might feel chunky for very small hands – but all that's true of any neoprene dumbbell.

They are very good barbells, they have a good grip non slick and are very sturdy even after dropping them 10/10 recommended.

I am no expert in dumbbells, but I am happy so far with this very recent purchase. It arrived a week after ordering. The rack and each pair of dumbbells were in separate boxes, so there were six boxes total. One of the dumbbell boxes was slightly damaged but it didn't affect the dumbbells themselves. The rack requires assembly. I'm terrible at this sort of task, but even I found it to be quite straightforward, though a little elbow grease was required to tighten the bolts. There's an allen wrench included for the nuts but you need your own adjustable wrench to fit the bolts to tighten them. It takes a little time because there are a number of bolts to screw into place. I suggest leaving them all just slightly tightened until it is completely assembled so you can align things to your satisfaction before final tightening of the bolts. I couldn't get the top piece to fit exactly flush but it is close enough. The rack is sturdy and the dumbbells seem to be good quality. I noticed reviews for another dumbbell set from this company complained about a toxic rubber smell. These are neoprene-coated and I may notice a faint smell when I hold one next to my nose but nothing in the least bothersome. One of the rubber guards on the rack is not glued in place so I have to deal with that minor headache. So there are two minor issues (the loose rubber guard and the slight misalignment on the top piece) neither of which is a big deal at all. I'd give 4.5 stars if that were an option, and the price (especially the discounted Black Friday price I got) make these a really good deal. If you are a newbie, be aware that these may be too light for stronger people as the heaviest dumbbell pair is only 15 pounds each. These are perfect for me to get started toward my goal of increasing my strength and they may be for you too. [Edit] I'm reading other reviews indicating that some received one pair of dumbbells that were not black as all the others are. For the record, mine are all black. I'd definitely be miffed if one set weren't, because it would be a hassle to return everything and then hope a replacement was all black. Seems like a simple enough quality control issue for the company to address. Better yet, offer a selection of colors (for the entire set, not mix and match within the set).

I bought these 15lb fumbles for daily workout and it’s been good, no odor like those other rubber stuff, grip is good, weight feels same. Easy to use and hopefully it will be durable but right now instead of checking reviews and basics dumbles I’d get these

Good quality weights, as expected save for the texture. I thought the weights would be smooth but they feel porous. The texture does assist with grip. I used to work out in a gym and I wouldn’t want to handle these in that setting; however, as I am the only person using them, I’ve gotten used to it.

Bought these dumbbells and love them they have great grip and feel great in my hands.

I wanted something to help with my under arms, loose skin I have had for decades. I started with the 2 pounds and I will be moving on to 3 pound weights since I have been using these for weeks now. The are nice, sturdy, and Comfortable to hold.
