Amazing picture, easy to setup, great value.
Our aging Hitachi TV was dying slowly, so before it bit the bullet completely I did a bit of research and opted of rthis 42 inch hisense. i got a good deal as an early black Friday item, which was even better. Setting up was a little different than normal, I didn't need to plug the TV aerial into the TV at all. Everything comes through the broadband, but there is an aerial socket if you don't have broadband or if your connection is too slow. The picture is sharp, bright and with great colors. There are various modes, such as cinema, sport, standard, etc, so there should be one that suits your needs. The sound is clearer and crisper than on my old TV, straight from the TV with no sound bar. Freely is their own version of Freeview, and it has everything you'd expect, including live TV and all the usual channels. It also comes with VIDAA channels, which plenty of categorised film channels. The subscription services all are there for you if you are customers of any of the Netflix, Disney, etc. services. I'm very pleased so far, and recommend this TV without hesitation.

Great value TV overall
A decent screen and TV for the price. The home screen is quite wasted with the poor Vidaa system taking up a lot of space, but it's fairly easy to use. Most apps work well - they're quick to access and reliable. Default HDR and non-HDR screen modes are far too dark out of the box, but once adjusted the picture is fine - not sure why manufacturers insist on shipping such rubbish default settings. One annoyance is that for my soundbar it seems to miss a second of audio every time channels or any content changes - seems to reset the eARC connection too readily. Works but annoying. Freely quality is pretty good, especially compared to local aerial signal - just wish it wasn't so slow and clunky to change channels or access the guide. It's not perfect, but it's a lot of telly for the money.

Amazing
Due to me dropping my old TV I needed a quick replacement TV. Never had Hisense before but seemed to pack a huge amount into an amazing price point. Well it is truly amazing - picture, sound ( best I have ever experienced) apps I’m very happy with the quality and price ease of use I could go on but it’s fantastic I must also say thanks to Amazon for speed and quality delivery

Flawed screen and expensive Freely software
I bought this TV on Amazon Prime day - one of the first models available with built-in Freely, which allows you to stream the main Freeview channels over WiFi without needing an aerial. Comparing the specs of the TV against other QLED 43" televisions suggests that the price has been bumped by over £200 for the Freely software. When I set up the TV I noticed immediately that there was a circular light blob in the left centre of the screen - no matter what I did, if the screen in that area had a black background the white blob was visible (see photo). I set up the TV in hybrid mode with both internet and aerial connected. The software demands your complete postcode. The channels found seemed right - they were numbered 1 - BBC 1HD, 2 - BBC 2 HD, 3 - ITV 1 (not HD), 4 Channel 4 HD etc... I cannot cope with SD TV, so I looked for the HD version of ITV, but I could not find it. I expect to find the HD channels on 101 - 105, but these channel numbers were not available. I suspect that entering the postcode had forced the TV to choose SD ITV Yorkshire (Channel 3). HD ITV from my transmitters is ITV Granada - I would rather have the "wrong" local news with the rest of the programs in HD, but I could not set that up. I did retune without the aerial (Internet only) and I seemed to get a full set of channels, and ITV was in HD, so that would have been a possible workround. Nonetheless, I could not cope with the white blob on the screen, so I initiated a return with Amazon. They would not offer a replacement, simply a refund of the discounted Prime Day price (which is fair enough, but from what I have seen of the Freely software I don't think it is worth £200 uplift). I will be using the refund to buy an equivalent QLED TV, probably TCL. Amazon were great - the courier picked up my return on the next working day. After supplying some photos and the serial number Hisense have ackowledged the fault and supplied me with an "Uplift Number", however there is no method to communicate it to Amazon. At the Prime day price the TV is probably worth having. At the regular price it seems expensive. Finally - if Freely wants to be a success and move the population to streaming live TV it simply needs to issue Freely apps for Firesticks and other streaming sticks. But perhaps there is an expensive licence fee, which explains the £200 uplift?

It arrived well packed and in good condition. Easily set up and a great picture. Sound was good so I ditched my sound bar.

Excellent Value
Value excellent. Fairly easy to set up. Picture clear, currently trying to adjust colour as it appears slightly dull, but that might be because my previous, rather expensive Sony, was quite bright in comparison. Good that it has Freely, albeit I have yet to check out the extra channels. Worth mentioning, this TV isn't heavy which is a great benefit when it comes to getting it out of the box and moving it around. Overall very pleased. Price excellent.

Good tv for the money, but a second one !
Not the most expensive and not the cheapest, but for the price point for a bedroom tv it’s great. The smart tv part is excellent especially freely which doesn’t need an aerial for free view tv. In fact the winner for me is I am using it quite happily with no aerial, and just streaming everything via wifi

Its a Fabulous TV with great picture and facilities.
Its a good TV and very easy to set up. I'm upgrading from a smaller Sony Bravia and there's no comparison. I have the sound routed through my HiFi though the onboard sound was useable.
