Excellent product. Used this drain snake to clear the bathroom sink blockage. It took 5 mins and the job is done, blockage is cleared. Never use unblock gel or harmful liquids, it can damage the piplines. There is no manual to read or how to use, but there are diagrams on the box that serves as a manual. Tips - I would recommend to remove the S-Trap on the sink if possible thus you will have a big opening for inserting the steel wire and try to insert the steel wire slowly small by small so that it is easy to handle and not damaging the pipeline. If you find the steel wire stuck inside, it may be due to a bend or very bad clog. In that case you should tighten the screw and rotate the steel wire using the lever. Rotating the lever will help to remove the clog or easy inserting through the bend. Do not pull the steel wire very hard, take it slowly and rotating the lever anti-clockwise will help to bring all the steel wire back in place. Hope this helps.

Did the job i bought it for and cleared blockage on bend of washing machine pipe, coiled up nice and neat and is stored in garage ready if required again. Arrived in good time and well packaged.

It's OK

This is great. I bought it due to slow running water in my shower drain but it’s so simple to use that I now routinely use it in all my sinks too. Once you learn what to do it works like a dream. By locking the ‘snake’ in place - once extended - and turning the handle, the clever bit on the end really shifts blockages or pulls them back when you pull back the - very long - snake into its holder. Only today I removed an accumulated clog the size of a potato (ugh!!) that I didn’t even know was in my pipework!! Highly recommended.

I might be doing something wrong but the one I received is rubbish. It does not wind back in, hard to understand if it’s faulty or I just don’t get how to use it properly. I assumed the idea of it was to feed the ‘wire’ down and there’d be a way to add tension to the coil. I just get a long flacid wire that would just bunch up if it hit anything, then I have no way to reel it back in as the turning thing does nothing.

Quality product easy to use.I have spent time and money trying to get my shower drain running how it should using the usual drain cleaners. This product is the real deal. Buy it now value for money

I found that the 'snake' will still rotate within the target pipe even when it has to go around a couple of bends and is extended to its full length. I fed it carefully into the pipe and rotated copiously - I imagine that used clumsily it would twist up on itself and become damaged. But as I say it did what I needed very well. It's most convenient that the 'snake' disappears into its housing, so storage is easy. A good tool.

This drain cleaner tool seems of good quality I think, the only trouble and my own fault - the initial coil is too wide to fit through plug hole. Therefore I cannot comment on if it worked. Sadly returning it and will have to find a narrower tool. Also weird that the box was unwrapped and the Amazon delivery sticker was stuck over the instructions which are on the outside of the product box which I then had to try to peel off. No instructions inside at all.

Pour cet appareil , bien respecter l'ordre d'utilisation imprimé sur l'emballage. 1 - Sortir une partie du câble (1m environ) du tambour , serrer la petite vis et commencer à l'insérer dans la canalisation. 2 - A la première résistance (ex: coude à 90°) tourner la manivelle derrière le tambour (bleu) d'une main et maintenir la poignée avec l'autre main. la rotation va "forcer" le câble à se tortiller et pivoter dans la canalisation pour progresser dans la bonne direction. 3 - Dès que vous constatez que le câble s'enfonce de nouveau, dévisser la petite vis maintenir le câble pour qu'il ne rentre dans le tambour, en sortir un peu plus du logement et revisser c'est important pour que le câble ne se rétracte pas dans le tambour et l'enfoncer à nouveau. 4 - Infiltrer le câble autant que possible en refaisant la procédure en 3 et dès que l'on constate une résistance faire comme en 2. IMPORTANT : NE PAS FORCER SUR LE CABLE EN INSERTION NI RETRAIT. Le tambour est en plastique donc ne pas brusquer le tout, procéder en douceur et ça fonctionne parfaitement ! J'ai réussi à déboucher en 15-20mn et ai entendu l'eau s'évacuer dès le bouchon percé. J'ai retiré le câble, vu une petite partie du bouchon prisonnier dans la tête et nettoyé celui-ci a l'eau claire pour enlever les résidus des produits bloqués. Pour rentrer le câble desserer la vis et rentrer le câble manuellement sans forcer il trouvera son logement sans peine. IMPORTANT: DO NOT FORCE THE CABLE IN OR OUT. The drum is made of plastic so do not rush it, proceed gently and it works perfectly! I managed to unclog it in 15-20 minutes and heard the water draining out as soon as the plug was pierced. I removed the cable, saw a small part of the plug trapped in the head and cleaned it with clear water to remove the residues of the blocked products. To retract the cable loosen the screw and retract the cable manually without forcing it will find its housing without difficulty. In reality it is a flexible hose with a corkscrew at the end :)

Débouchage petite canalisation. Pratique et facile à utiliser

In passato mi è capitato di usare una spirale del tipo semplice (cioé priva del contenitore rotante), devo dire che questa versione è molto più pratica e comoda da usare per vari motivi: - È possibile estrarre mano a mano solo la lunghezza di spirale necessaria, mentre quella classica va srotolata tutta e diventa una specie di serpente indomabile - L'impugnatura col contenitore girevole consente di far ruotare con facilità la spirale all'intenro del tubo, cosa che aiuta a superare certe curve e a "catturare" certi tipi di ostruzioni per estrarle. Con la molla classica questa operazione è molto più difficile se non è inserita del tutto nel tubo, perché l'impugnatura si trova all'estremità della molla. - Il fatto che la molla rientra direttamente nel suo contenitore consente di lavorare sporcando molto meno la stanza Ho ordinato questa spirale con una certa fretta perché lo scarico della doccia era praticamente ostruito a causa di un problema di alghe/grasso che circa una volta l'anno si presenta nel mio bagno (prima mi facevo prestare la spirale classica, ma ho deciso di rendermi autonomo vista la regolarità con cui il problema si presenta). Appena ricevuta, l'ho usata per sturare gli scarichi di lavabo e doccia: è stato semplicissimo inserirla, sia nello scarico del mio piatto doccia a filo pavimento, sia in quello del lavabo (una volta rimosso il sifone); quando ho incontrato delle resistenze (curve o ostruzioni) le ho superate facilmente bloccando la molla con l'apposita chiavetta e facendola girare in senso orario e spingendola al contempo. Con un paio di passaggi il problema è stato risolto, in maniera molto più pratica e pulita rispetto a quando ho fatto lo stesso lavoro con la spirale classica. Il prodotto mi è sembrato ben costruito e sufficientemente robusto. Nel mio caso, al centro del contenitore blu era presente un etichetta adesiva, rimuovendola ho scoperto che copriva un foro. Ho preferisto spostarla e lasciare il foro aperto in modo che la molla e l'interno del contenitore possano asciugarsi meglio dopo l'uso (meglio ancora se è possibile lasciarla svolta per qualche ora). Ho apprezzato anche la confezione di cartone rigido e priva di plastica. Condivido alcuni suggerimenti che l'utente Nick ha scritto nella sua lunga recensione e che ritengo utili: - È utile marcare con un pennarello indelebile ogni metro della spirale, in modo da avere un'idea della lunghezza di tubo già percorsa durante l'uso - Sfruttare la rotazione per superare curve e agganciare eventuali ostruzioni - Se si incontra molta resistenza evitare di forzare troppo girando la spirale perché si richia di deformarla, riavvolgere di qualche cm la spirale finché gira nuovamente senza sforzo e riprovare - Dopo l'uso meglio lasciare la spirale srotolata in modo che si asciughi bene, o per lo meno pulirla e asciugarla con uno straccio man mano che la si riavvolge nel suo contenitore. In base alla mia esperienza con questo prodotto lo consiglio per praticità, qualità e prezzo.
