The magnet really makes a difference for long life.
Any DIY oil change driveway mechanic should use these. Reduce the metal in the oil is great. Just wipe the metal residue and put back on.

Weak Metal!
I bought these with high hopes and at first I thought they were great. However, today I changed my oil for the second or third time with the new plug in there and when putting it back it broke in half! I ws lucky that the plug wasn't screwed in all the way so I was able to get the broken piece out. I am guessing I had less than 5 pound of torque on it because I threaded it in by hand and put the ratchet on it and it never tightened up and the head of the plug was in the socket! I would not recommend these to anybody.
