We purchased this whitefish when suggested by our vet to avoid food with chicken. Our vet sold a much more expensive food. He looked at the ingredients of this food and he approved it. We also use Wellness Whitefish canned food as a topper. Our dogs skin is much better. We have been using dry and canned for 5 years and our cocker's skin is very good.

My german shepherd has allergies to chicken and salmon, so this food is one of only a few that I can feed her. Most foods she can eat are outrageous! This one is do able and she actually likes it!

Great grain free dog food

This is a decent dog food. It is certainly not the cream of the crop, but it is far from the bottom of the barrel. I got a good deal on the white fish variety and my 3 dogs all like it just fine. They always eat grain free 4+ star foods. There are certainly better options out there, and I certainly prefer to feed those. However, this is better than many of the mainstream foods in stores. It is a decent option for an affordable grain free food.One of my dogs has allergy issues and another is sensitive to chicken. This food works well for both of them. My smallest dog is under 8 pounds and she does fine with the kibble size. It is not tiny, but it is also not really large. The size should be fine for just about any dog.

Doggy can't eat the chicken flavors anymore

After reviving our rescue from liver failure we had to be very conscious of our German Shepard/Akita mix’s diet. She can not eat anything other than whitefish. After trying almost every dog food possible (not many offer only whitefish), we have settled on this brand. Our other dog loves it as well. They choooow down. Leaves there breath a lil stinky but nothing a carrot can’t fix.

My furry-girl is allergic to grains and does well on another brand of grain-free kibble. But, I wanted her to have options, so--after reading great reviews on DogFoodAdvisor--I tried Under the Sun. I really want to like this kibble, but after using it a short time, my dog started to have a reaction to it. I don't know if it's the whitefish or the peas/chickpeas/green peas--or the combination--but my girl can't eat it without itching a lot! Even if mixed heavily with another kibble.
