Good stand (especially if caught on sale) but needs a few tweaks to be great. Set it up and tested it out today and i'll cover the pros first. PROS Solid construction and feels like i'll get many years of use with it. Nothing about it feels cheap or flimsy. Lower profile means when you set it up on the rear tire of a full size pickup, you are below the wind line making wind on your hammock less pf an issue. Carrying bag is good quality and warer resistant but does not hold the large base piece, only the arms and extensions. CONS On a tundra the hammock stand leans out and away fron the vehicle but not far enough that a hammock with a mosquito net and rain fly with support poles doesn't rub against the side of the truck. If it leaned out an additional foot this would not be an issue, and using a standard open top (think parachute material style) hammock will not have this problem. The base not fitting in the bag is a inconvenience but not a deal breaker My stand arrived missing the manual and all of the hardware. For 15$ I got heavy duty replacement hardware at a parts store. Not ideal. All in all I recommend this if you like car camping or just camp somewhere there aren't good trees to hang your hammock setup in. 4.1 outta 5 stars guys. Would recommend and might buy a second one.
