From USA Today bestselling author Rina Kent comes the first in a dark and steamy college romance series featuring elite criminal families and morally gray heroes. Killian Carson is unfeeling, cold-blooded, monstrous…and has developed an obsession with Glyndon that just might be both of their undoing. Killian Carson is a predator wrapped in sophisticated charm. He's cold-blooded, manipulative, and vicious. Though his charisma and intelligence fool everyone, Glyndon sees right through him. She sees the psychopath within, and though her brain tells her to run, there's a secret part of her that knows the monster will only chase her…and she may want to get caught. Glyndon King has never felt like anyone's favorite. Her mother and brothers are the artistic talents in the family, and she knows she will never live up to anyone's expectations. But Killian? He has no expectations except that she is now his. It doesn't matter that their schools are rivals―their possessive, all-consuming desire may be able to drown out everything else. But can two people with broken souls truly repair the broken parts of each other's psyche? Can their dark and sinful desire overcome their history? When it turns out those pasts are more disturbingly entwined than they thought, they may come out stronger, or it may be their unraveling. Review: Killian & Glyndon - Man-oh-man, Ms. Kent is such a superb writer! I don’t know why I waited to read this series. Well, I don’t like waiting, so I only read complete series, but still, this one has been out for a bit & it Is delicious. While the characters are young, they are very mature. Without trying to give away too many tidbits, for a villain, I thoroughly enjoyed Killian. I also appreciated Glyndon’s reluctance all the way. I quite enjoyed several of the side characters too. I am eager to start book 2. I purchased the audio version & I think I can affirm that Wen Ross my favorite male narrator. I think I like him better than Teddy Hamilton even. The narration in this book is even better bcz it has multiple narrators throughout & they are some of the better ones too. The narration brings the characters to life. Very well done. Review: God of Malice - This was a good book. I do have a small complaint, and it is that I was not a huge fan of the language. I don’t know how to describe it, the closest I can get to the true reason for my mild dislike is that the words aren’t used in a way that is pleasing *to me*. It’s as if the writing / the words are a vaguely reasonable use of the English language, but at the same time much of it is painfully wrong and I cringed as I asked myself if some of the words are real words at all and wondered whether I could continue despite my anal desire to rewrite and edit the whole thing. To be fair, once I was done cringing about the interesting use of the English language, I found the characters intriguing and the story fine enough. Worth a read if you’re not a pearl clutching English major with unreasonable anxiety about an author who takes serious liberties with words, sentence structure and the English language.

Red Flags and all
Did I question my morals while reading this book? Absolutely. Did I find comfort in knowing that this is the kind of dynamic I only tolerate in books and not in reality? Also yes. I’ve been on the fence about picking up a Rina Kent book for a while. I wasn’t sure if her style would be for me or if I’d even finish one of her books. With that being said, I’m upset with myself for waiting so long. This book was deeply intriguing and made me question myself, especially as someone new to this genre. Let’s start with Glyn. Her character is simple and naive, but there’s a quiet, dark undertone to her. At the beginning, she’s at one of the lowest points in her life. As the story progresses, we get glimpses into how she views herself as a person, a daughter, a sister, and a friend, while also uncovering what led her to the book’s opening events. Glyn starts off as the kind of person who avoids making waves, suffers in silence, and doesn’t want to be a bother. But as the book unfolds, she grows more outspoken and confident. Overall, I liked her character, but I loved the person Killian helped her become by the end. Now, about her “friend.” For much of the book, we’re led to believe that this friend, who "voluntarily" left the earth, had been in her life for a bit. But toward the end, we find out she only knew him for two months and assumed she knew him better than anyone else. Spoiler: she didn’t. I interpreted this two ways: either she was so desperate for connection that she clung to his words, or she was gullible and naive enough to believe he saw her for who she truly was. When the truth came out about what he said and did, I was baffled as to why she grieved him so deeply. Now, the main event: Killian. He’s every red flag in a man personified, yet Rina made me fall for him. He was different. He was angry, possessive, tyrannical, and an unstoppable force of nature. But then, he became a man with feelings—feelings he didn’t know how to handle. I loved watching him struggle with his emotions for Glyn. He wanted to understand her so he could be done with her, but instead, she became his muse and his safe space. Glyn, in turn, understood him in a way no one else could. She saw through his anger at his brother, even when he denied caring, and she gave him the grace he didn’t know he needed. Killian remained true to himself from start to finish—raw, intense, and unapologetically himself. The only real change was Glyn. She calmed his inner beast, made him tolerable to those around him, and became his balance. He is her monster, and she is his calm. That balance between them was one of the highlights of the book for me. I appreciated how they complemented each other so naturally. I did have some minor issues, though. There were small gaps in the narrative, and the ending felt rushed. The story picked up toward the end, and then suddenly, it was over. I really hope there’s a novella about Killian and Glyn in the future—I’d love to see what Killian would be like as a father!

God of Malice was an entertaining and steamy dark romance book. I enjoyed the characters and romance, but there were a few subplots that definitely could have been more developed. This is the first book in the Legacy of Gods series and while the main characters of this book are the second generation of the Royal Elite series and the Lies & Truths Duet, those are not needed to be read before starting this one. I didn’t and I had no problem following the family tree and background of these characters. I would recommend though, checking the content and trigger warnings before reading. It is dual POVs of the main characters and has some amazing tropes like: enemies to lovers, boy obsessed, psychopath-good girl, and a dark bully romance. The overall plot was decent. There were some dark, intense, steamy and amusing moments. However, the storyline regarding the heroine’s friend was quite slow and just underwhelming. The twist and the ending were a bit anticlimactic as well. I will say, both of the main characters inner struggles and dilemmas were intriguing but were resolved too quickly. I personally just felt that there wasn’t enough discussions with their parents for both of them to accept and come to terms with their issues. Especially for the hero, his issue with his father was quite a heavy matter and there just wasn’t enough dialogue between them. The development and romance between the main characters was definitely dark but still very enjoyable. I loved the difference between them and how well they worked together. The hero’s level of possessiveness and jealousy was also just incredible. The smut was great as well and involved various kinks, which I liked. Both of the main characters friend groups were also great. The banter and relationships between all of them was just fun to read and I’m definitely excited for the next book in the series. All the little breadcrumbs of certain potential couples definitely has me intrigued. The last few chapters did feel a bit rushed and there were certain moments that felt unfinished, like how the relationship between the heroine and her brother changed after their argument. But the epilogue was quite pleasing and I enjoyed the cameos of the first generation characters. Overall, just an amusing read and a great start to the series.

Your obsession
What an absolutely stunning book. This is a college romance meets Dexter. The main character is a beautiful psychopath doing his darn best to be normal. The main female character is strong willed, fearless, amazing. The first chapter jumps into some very dark themes, and if that’s not your thing, absolutely read the trigger warning list before reading this book. The dialogue in this book is so strong. I loved the back and forth witty banter the two main characters have. Both main characters have so much growth during this book. If you love, he falls first, he falls harder, and dubious consent you will love this.

Good not great
I really loved this book and I thought it was so good but it felt extremely rushed. We spent a lot of time building up to figure out about Devlin but once we did it all seemed really rushed. There are a lot of unanswered questions in my opinion.

Perfect read for lovers of dark romance - Electric
Unbelievable opening scene — I could not put it down! An overwhelming personality ensnares a delicate flower with a surprising sense of self-preservation. But all is not what it seems. Rina Kent masterfully draws you into a dark and twisted world where nothing is quite as it appears. The characters are gloriously flawed — she is frustratingly wishy-washy, yet you find yourself rooting for her anyway. And he? He is the ultimate alpha — perfect, fiercely protective, and radiating that unmistakable "touch her and die" energy that dark romance readers live for. The push and pull between them is magnetic — equal parts thrilling and unsettling. This is not a light read. Kent does not shy away from darkness, and that is precisely what makes it so compelling. If you have a taste for dark romance that lingers long after the last page, God of Malice absolutely delivers.

ossessione
Come?

Tbh, I loved this story! 🥰
Let me just start with this..LOVED IT! 😍🥵😏 And I don't get why so many didn't, then wrote bad reviews. Did You Not read the description of the book before getting it? Did You Not, read the content warnings either? Did You Not, read the Trigger Warnings if you have any? If after all that you still want to read this book..well thats awesome 'cause this book is totally worth it! Enemies to lovers. Yes he's her enemy..yes he's evil and all that blah blah blah. lf you didn't already know ..fair warning they become lovers. 🙄 Also, Don't shame anyone's kink just 'cause it ain't yours..that's rude! Sorry for my ranting there but I hate when people make bad reviews. You dont like it ..thats okay but we dont need to know and its disrespectful for the hard work of the author. Anyways...I Loved their story, start to finish. It isn't easy, nor sweet but still hot, dark and just as amazing! And the fact that this girl can tame that beast..Well Helloooo Queen! 🙌 And that ending..was perfection! Can't wait for the next book Must get this series Now Enjoy 😉
