Great Bike Rack, Pivoting Feature is Amazing
This bike rack is better than I thought it would be. It looks great, it works really well & installation was not that difficult. The pivoting feature is very nice because it gave me plenty of options of where I could install it in my garage. The rack feels very durable & the bike feels very secure on the rack. Installation took about 30 minutes & was not difficult at all. It is more expensive than other bike racks, but I think it was the right choice.

Exceptional solution to storing bikes!
Why I bought: I have limited space in my garage but too many bikes! I've looked all over but landed on these. Value: 4/5 – Pricey but worth the quality ✅Highlights: - can swivel nearly 180 degrees - can flip back up when not in use - easy installation (harder with masonry) Room for Improvement: It'd be nice to just have one product that can fit multiple size bike tires, also an option for a locking mechanism built in would be cool too 📝Final Take: Overall this is one of the best options for bike racks. It hangs the bike easily and without damaging the frame. It stores up nicely when not in use. This is well worth the price .

Great Product, high quality, built to last, easy to install.
I bought the two pack for two road bikes and the separate fender pack for two cruisers I had taking up too much space in my garage. Prime shipping was fast and these shipped via UPS. The packaging was compact and easy to open with a box cutter. I had been following this company since they were a kickstarter and had seen their videos so I knew what to expect when I received their product. The steadyrack themselves are well built and you can tell a lot of thought has been put into everything from the design, the packaging, the instructions, their website and so on. Before you get started you need the following items: a box cutter, a tape measure, a pencil, a Philips screwdriver, a socket wrench, a spirit level, a 13mm socket, and the instructions call for a 10mm and a 8mm drill bits, but I used 1/4" and 3/16" drill bits. I also purchased a studfinder from Amazon to ensure I got my holes just right. Steady rack has an excellent installation video on their website at steadyrack.com/video, but their instructions are fairly clear as well and are written using metric as well as imperial measurements. It is very clearly stated that you must mount the Steadyrack into framing studs or masonry or it will void the 12 month warranty. You should not fix the Steadyrack directly to drywall. Installation took about 10 minutes per rack. Overall, this is a high quality item and worth the price paid considering I foresee this lasting many years to come. It frees up valuable space, holds the bike without damaging or putting stress on the tire or frame, and is very easy to load/unload. This is also a great company with excellent customer service who backs their product 100%.

Excellent build quality and design
This is an excellent bike rack. I shopped around before deciding on this one. Several key factors won me over: -The ease in getting the bike on the rack. Simply stand the bike on its rear wheel (by engaging the rear wheel brake) and push the front wheel into the rack. This requires very little effort and strength. -The design of the rack, which not only effectively holds the weight of the bike but also prevents the weight of the bike from causing the rack to sag over time. -The rack accommodates bike tire widths up to 2.1 inches, making it usable for most standard bikes. The design of the rack securely "cradles" the front tire. -When the bike is on the rack, it easily pivots left or right for easy storage close to the wall that it's mounted on. -When not in use, the rack folds flat against the wall, protruding less than 4.5 inches. Required hardware is included, another plus. If you're mounting the rack to wooden wall studs, installation is relatively easy. If you're mounting the rack to masonry walls (e.g. cinder block), then installation is a bit more complicated since you will need a drill that can penetrate masonry walls.

Great rack, but tires can get stuck
We bought two of these mountain bike racks to install in our garage about a month ago and installed them quickly thereafter. It took some time to configure how we wanted to store our two mountain bikes alongside our two road bikes (for which we bought the classic road bike version of this same rack). And then it took a learning curve to figure out how to install them, but once we got the first one installed, the other three were much faster to install. We were so excited to hang up our bikes and see how easy it was to get our bikes off them! Road bikes had no problem and worked like a dream coming in and out of the rack and swiveling to the sides. Mountain bikes went IN and swiveled to the sides like a dream, but as soon as we tried to pull our mountain bikes OFF the rack - as if we were taking them to go for a ride, we could not budge them! We discovered the metal-loop-rack-tire-rest-thing was getting lodged in between the knobs of the tread on our mountain bike tires! It took one person pushing up on the tire and another person at the handlebars to get the bike off the rack! (By the way, the tires getting stuck were the Maxxis Minion DHF 29X2.50WT and Maxxis Dissector 29X2.40WT. So well within the parameters marketed by the company: Designed for bikes with: Wheel Diameter: 20'' – 29''; Tire Width: 2.1''– 2.8''.) So we emailed the company directly and they had no immediate solution ideas for us. We were bummed for a little bit until we came up with a DIY solution that kind of helped. We bought some half-inch funny pipe in the sprinkler-irrigation section of our local hardware store. Cut it down to size, split it open, and pried it onto the metal-loop-rack-tire-rest-thing (see pictures). That mostly solved it. The Maxxis Minion DHF 29X2.50WT still gets wedged on it, but we found if we just grab the tire and rim and pull, then it will roll off easily enough. Luckily, it seems to have fully solved the problem for the Maxxis Dissector 29X2.40WT wherein we can grab the handlebars and the tire rolls off easily enough. So yeah, nice sturdy racks, little learning curve to install, little on the expensive side, had to solve a problem on our own, but overall we're very happy with the racks compared to the bike organization we had before (which was just piling them up against each other against a wall. Boo.). We hope someone else finds this information helpful! Good luck.

Easy Install, Space-Saving, and Looks Great!
This Steadyrack bike rack is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also super functional. Installation was easy—the directions were straightforward, and I used Google to convert the drill bit size from metric to standard with no problem. It holds my mountain bike securely and feels very durable and well-built. The swivel function works smoothly, and it makes it so easy to save space in the garage by folding the bike against the wall. Mounting and dismounting the bike is effortless, and it fits perfectly as described. For the price, I’m very pleased. It looks great, performs well, and really helped organize my space. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a solid, sleek, and space-saving bike storage solution.

Worth every penny
This is a great product. Our family of five has a variety of bikes, three children's & two adult - in different sizes. I looked at several systems and read reviews (noted that children had difficulty hooking bike tires, between spokes & balancing, etc), ultimately deciding to spend way more than I had planned on the Steadyrack. It was a slam-dunk. Steadyrack does not disappoint. This product is all that is cracked up to be and in my opinion, worth the money. I bought a four-pack for my family, and an additional fender-style for my retro bike. The area where all bikes are hanging is 71" wide. It holds three mountain bikes, my huge & heavy beach cruiser, and a child's 20" bike. I spaced them approximately 13"-15" apart from one another. There would be no way to catch a stud for all these bike racks, so I had the lumberyard cut a piece of plywood to size, and mounted a ledger-board to the wall. Then I had a solid surface attached to the studs. This allowed me to install the racks with more confidence that they would be secure. I'm in the United States & believe that the origin of this product is Australia. This may explain why the installation instructions are in millimeters. It was easy enough to find a conversion online, but I did have to be cautious not to make a calculation error. Measure twice, drill once! The only other note, was that in my haste - and without giving it much thought - I used the wrong fastener to hang the first rack. The racks come with both lag bolts & truss-head wood screws, which I dumped out on the workbench, and by the time went to hang the first rack, my son handed me the screw and it stripped going in - quite easily. Oops! I should have known better - so I'm mentioning it for those who do not know better. The rack should be installed with the "hex" headed lag bolt. (Google it, if you're unsure what that is). The guidelines were easy to follow & logical. As for hanging the bikes, it's as easy as it seems. My youngest is about 54" tall & 50#. Getting the bike up into position was a challenge for a couple of days. We tried different ways to hold the hand brake & use the seat to leverage on her thigh - and soon enough she was able to do it easily. I attached a photo showing all five bikes on the wall. They do rotate easily out of the way and don't fumble into each other as bikes are placed on & off. I felt like I pushed the limit on how close you would want to hang bikes of this size - and there is still plenty of room to get them on & off without interfering with other bikes. I have a lot of confidence in the longevity of this product. It's rock solid.

Great functionality, disappointing quality
Function is great for indoor use, but this is not a premium product. The build quality is low and after six months in a covered carport it’s already rusted badly.
