MeacoDry Arete® One 6L Charcoal Dehumidifier & Air Purifier

This is good for what I bought it for: looking good in a bathroom and automatically removing moisture after a shower. I chose it because it's the smallest option the market which uses a dehumidification technique that's effective in lower temperatures (unlike all the peltier style mini dehumidifiers). However this product is not as fast as others at drying clothes. That's fair given it's size and purpose. I would prefer if it had a higher speed mode for clothes. Basically this unit seems to have one speed which is quiet - no turbo mode like some others. However it still did dry my sheets in a few hours, with 4 turns. That said, it's perfect for what I bought it for. It looks brilliant. The handle is excellent. I love that you can get wheels for it (sold separately for 20£). It's quiet and the auto humidity monitoring mode is ideal for our bathroom. One other request: it'd be better if it had the option to have fans off completely when it's not dehumidifying. We have a separate large air purifier. I'd rather safe energy by having the Arete silently monitoring humidity with miniscule power drain for always-on use. Instead it seems that the unit can't monitor humidity without also having fans on to purify air. I don't want to pay for 24/7 air purification tho just to be able to monitor humidity also. However, it's easy to just switch it on and off after showers, and it reads humidity fast, so grudgingly I accept that workaround.

Works well and does the job amazing. It brought my room down from 75%+ to 50% humidity within a few days, and isn’t too incredibly loud however if you’re sleeping next to this, you will hear it. It’s fairly heavy but easy to use with the top facing controls but best to keep it in one spot. You won’t go wrong for the money.

This is a great product and solution to damp and clothes drying. I have it on all the time! I move it around every few days when not drying washing. I stick it in the bathroom after a shower. I put it in my living room when it’s been really wet outside. The best parts - it works and is so cheap to run! My Dad has also bought one, although he got the stronger one for a damp room. It’s brilliant too! I was at first skeptical but it’s the best purchase I made all year. The emptying of the unit…. Every 4th rack of washed clothing. And my living room - I couldn’t believe how much water it took in. It’s pretty silent, but I am a light sleeper and don’t have it in the same room when sleeping. Although nothing my earplugs don’t fix.

Works amazing in the bedroom, so quiet

A friend suggested this was the product to buy. She had the Arete Two and had advised three friends to buy and they had nothing but praise for the dryer. We bought the Arete One, as there only two of us and we were using it in a small room. We had an expectation that was exceeded by a large margin. It’s a compact well made quality product and very simple to operate.

Wow wow wow what a dehumidifier! I was skeptical at first that such a small unit would be as effective but by golly gosh goodness does this suck the moisture out of the air like a succubus demon! Quiet as a mouse in church, lovely little unit.

Bought the Arete One 6L last week and it turned out to be a terrible product. The product info shows 32 dB, but in reality its between 40 to 60 dB. It makes a terrible scraping noise. I have medium size room and this machine is struggling to go below 55%! I contacted Meaco about the issue and they asked me to email them the details. Since I never heard anything back. Totally avoid!

The product is very ergonomic and you can tell a lot of thought has been put into it. It does a good job as a dehumidifier. I was hoping this is an amazing product but the kind of noise it makes really annoys me, it sounds like an old refrigerator - a quiet one but still an old refrigerator, I am not sure if mine came damaged and that is why it makes this noise... Update: I bought quite a few smaller options from Amazon and none of them manages to take out as much humidity as this one, the difference is shocking, the tank of this one can get to half in a day while the other small one barely have some drops in there, this would be a perfect product if they could solve the noise challenge

J’ai trouvé mon bonheur, je suis si contente que je vais essayer les autres en 10 et 12 l. Efficace, silencieux comme j’aime, car j’en ai essayé plein que je renvoie, et puis filtre l’air en plus d’être économique !! Je suis comblée ! Je le garde !!

Blitzschnell geliefert, vielleicht weil Berliner Straßen vereist waren? "Der Gerät" funktioniert auch, holt die Feuchtigkeit aus der Luft, schon nach der ersten Nacht keine feuchten Fenster mehr im Wohnzimmer. Jetzt noch im Schlafzimmer über den Tag laufen lassen, dann bekomme ich damit die Feuchtigkeit in den Griff. Sehr gute Erfahrung bisher.

Petit mais efficace ! Silencieux et maniable. Dans un coin humide d'une chambre, l'appareil rend 3 litres d'eau/jour et assainit l'air depuis une semaine. Si j'oublie de le mettre en route, l'air est lourd d'une humidité malodorante en 24h. Un achat que je ne regrette pas.
