Impressive PoE Security Camera with Crisp Video and Easy Setup
When receiving this Anpviz turret camera, I was immediately impressed by the solid build quality and how straightforward the installation process turned out to be. The included hardware and mounting template sticker made placing it under my soffit incredibly easy. Aiming this turret style is much more convenient than dealing with traditional dome cameras since you do not have to disassemble the housing to make adjustments. The Power over Ethernet capability is a fantastic feature that simplifies wiring by allowing both data and power to travel over a single cable. Once plugged in, the data activity lights on the ethernet connector let you know right away that connectivity is established. The video quality is exceptional, delivering crystal clear daytime footage where it is easy to identify important details. Nighttime performance is equally impressive thanks to the highly sensitive infrared night vision and the smart dual light feature. When the camera detects motion, the built-in white LED illuminates the area perfectly, providing an excellent view in the dark while triggering instant smartphone notifications. I integrated this easily into my existing NVR setup, and the built-in software allows for simple tweaking of settings like resolution and frame rates to get the smoothest playback possible. The built-in microphone also works wonderfully to capture clear audio alongside the sharp video. What truly sets this brand apart is the outstanding customer service. While trying out the settings, I accidentally disabled the audio and reached out to technical support for help. The support team was incredibly patient and professional, guiding me step by step until everything was functioning perfectly again. Between the rock solid reliability, versatile weather resistant design, and top tier support, this security camera provides fantastic overall value. I am very satisfied with how well it monitors my property and highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their home security system.

Great Security Camera with Motion Detection
This security camera has a pretty good clarity both in day and night vision. Installing this camera is straight forward with not much hassle. The footage is crystal clear to identify faces even from a moderate distance. It works both for indoor and outdoor. The night vision clarity is flawless and the spot lights triggers off automatically as a preventive step. The human detection is good and doesn't trigger false alarms on movement of trees or branches. Overall a good quality security camera equipped with clear clarity of the footage and human detection capabilities

Great home security camera with excellent video quality
The #Anpviz 4K PoE Camera Turret 8MP IP Camera is a great camera for use around the home. I have used several Anpviz dome cameras previously, and this is the first 4k and turret model. In short, the camera has a clear picture, is easy to install in point, and has been solid and stable using RTSP. * Installation The camera comes with screws and instructions needed for installation. I installed this camera, along with other Anpviz cameras, in the soffit of my house. The camera is light enough that, while I do add a small piece of plywood behind the soffit, they have never been damaged in the wind. The installation kit includes a sticker that aids you in where to pre-drill for screw holes and how big to make the hole for feeding the wire connector through. I have installed this, and all of my Anpviz cameras, using a 3rd party PoE switch. This setup works well and does not require a separate power line to be ran to the camera. * Using the Camera The camera’s built-in software is easy to use. It has a lot of options that I do not fully understand, however the defaults work just fine for me. Other than setting the overlay that says “Front Porch”, the only setting I changed was the slightly lower the resolution in order to get more frames per second. Changing that is simply a preference, as I would rather have the smoother motion than the slightly hire resolution. Aiming the camera is much easier than the dome cameras I have previously used from Anpviz. With this model you can loosing the camera and adjust it without taking the dome apart. You don’t adjust the camera that often, but it is much easier. The camera has a built-in light that turns on when the camera detects motion. I didn’t realize the camera had this feature, but I was pleasantly surprised. It works great and really helps you to see what is going on in the dark. The being said, the night vision support provided by this and all of the Anpviz cameras I have used works really great. * Summary I have used this camera for several weeks and have been very satisfied. It is easy to install and configure, supports PoE, and has great video quality. For a reasonably priced home security camera, I don’t think you will find a better option! I included some photos of the unboxing and a day and night vision sample photo from the camera.

Very nice cameras
Installing and connecting these cameras were very easy I have no issues with them so far I connected them to a main POE and all of them came right on. They turned and moved as advertised. They are very clear when I’m looking at through my phone or on a monitor so far I’ve enjoyed this product very much. I ordered two more cameras for indoors also

You may need to use a data/power splitter to the barrel connector if the camera appears to be dead
Both have the same 3 screw mounting footprint. And the LED light in the ethernet connector housing lets you know immediately upon plugging it in that power and connectivity are established by flashing with the data activity light. Usually have to screw around with cameras connected to the Hik NVR to get them to display but was pleasantly surprised to see them already at work when I came in from installing it. It does have the visible light LEDs that are supposed to light up the area when motion is sensed but a playback revealed a lot of color ghosting when that happened so just turned them off in software and will rely on the IR image which is quite good in night resolution. 04/28/24 update - Had a camera that just went dead but in doing so prevented half of the 10 other Anpviz cameras from initializing. This is not....repeat NOT...the camera's fault, its the NVR. Seems that my Hikvision NVR with POE will power all the cameras but only allow them to communicate via ethernet at the start of the process which uses very little power and only after authentication supply power to the camera, in this case the normal daytime 2 to 3 watts. And this is done in port order. If the offending camera no longer communicates it will cycle between DISCONNECTED and CONNECTED over and over and not allow any other camera to initialize on a higher port. Once the offending camera is unplugged from the NVR all the rest of the cameras booted just fine. So that left me with an in-warranty dead camera. Sent an email to Anpviz support 4/25/24 describing the issue and troubleshooting efforts and we both concluded that the camera was indeed defective that same day and said a replacement would be sent. Today, 4/28/24, I have that replacement installed and operational. I've never seen such great service from a company in a loooong time. So when you see others complaining about email only support you can take that with a grain of salt as my situation was handled entirely by email. Great job, Anpviz. Update 7 Jan 2025 - Well...going to have to revise my original assessment of the Hik NVR POE being at fault. Had two more cameras die within a second of each other. The video on one just went out and a second later the other camera lost video but struggled for a bit, reconnecting and showing video for about 3 seconds and then cycled again then went completely dead on POE. Now, here's the kicker...it's just the POE power supply interface of the camera. If you connect a 12V supply to the aux power barrel connector the cameras work fine, even the original 8/28/24 camera that was replaced. Got in contact with Anpviz support again and they sent out two more cameras which were received 1/13/25. Again, great service but now wondering how long the other cameras will last. Have opened up the original dead unit and disassembled the stacked boards, took a long, hard magnified look for burned components but found none. Most everything is SMT components so tracing the circuit without a schematic would be really difficult for me. Be a snap for other techs, tho. However I'm thinking they view these as throwaways. I really like these units, sure wish I could fix them. 1/23/25. Now officially NOT POE cameras. Just had a 4th camera give up the POE GHOST. The one bright spot is, I hope, this one will work on the 12v barrel port as do the others. This is beyond stupid. I'm sure they'd send another new camera but to what end. Something is badly wrong with the POE circuitry. This failure was from a unit put in service 8/28/23. At this point I'm thinking of running seperate 12v power to the ANPVIZ camera's barrels to get them on a reliable power source and turning off the NVR's POE capability. I still have a box of 10 Hik dome cameras that worked fine except for the IR capability.....these were the cams with 30 IR LEDs. I bought a bag of 500 and repopulated all the boards with new IR LEDs. They work great now. So the bottom line is, if you need just POE reliability these cameras are not the ones to buy. 12/25/25. My assessment of these cameras has changed with one caveat. It seems that temperatures below 10° F are the driver for the POE failure on the camera. Perhaps drawing too much current and some component on the board fails. They are, however, rock solid using a power splitter to take the power off the lan cable and connecting that to the camera's power barrel connector. None of the "failed' cameras have given any problems once the splitter was installed. All 12 are proving to be great units.

Good value
Every camera is really two cameras. There's a day camera, and there's a night camera. This is a decent day camera. The colors are fine. It's great inside. And at the 20% off price, it's unbeatable. I have it paired with an HK NVR, it works flawlessly. And then there's the issue of nights. This is not a good camera for the dark, without exceptional lighting. This is just a basic limitation of all low-end cameras. If you buy an IR supplemental light and turn off the white light in the firmware, you'll have a camera that will give you very decent black and white footage in the dark for about $65 total. The firmware here is very impressive. With a bit of tweaking, you can get footage that will give decent detail even when it's pitch black outside. You aren't going to get pictures like a $250 Dahua camera, but you can get 4 of these cameras with 4 IR lights and cover a good deal more area. Bottom line? I have this as a very solid buy and am happy to recommend it. It is very well made, for what it is. Buy it with an IR light and you won't be disappointed.

Great Quality and Value Camera
I’ve been using this camera for a bit now, and I really how well it works. The picture quality is super clear—everything looks sharp during the day, and even at night it still shows great detail. I love that it switches to color at night when it detects movement, it just makes everything easier to see compared to the usual black-and-white. The motion detection works good too. It actually picks up when a person is there. The built-in mic is nice, I never thought about audio much, but it’s been good more than I expected. Installation was pretty straightforward if you’re familiar with wired setups, and once it’s up, it feels very reliable. Overall, it just does exactly what I need it to do and does it well. Definitely a solid camera for keeping an eye on things around the house.
