Love the duel meter. The strips are expensive and that’s disappointing, but the meter is great. The app works well too.

Ketone meters in general are better than test strips but not by much. The scores are also not comparative to other brands as there is really very little industry standards as see in mainstream sugar meters and test strips. That is why Ketone meters across the boards are not covered by Medicare or other insurance. I bought two brands and not happy with either and the test strips are flakey. Temp sensitive and questionable shelf life.. Non are made in the USA, I will go back to test strips without the meters due to price performance meters are still not ready for the day to day needs of serious dieters or diabetics with ketone concerns, change the battery on the first day. These have been in warehouse a long time.

The instructions were clear and plentiful, no confusion here. I loaded the test strip code chip, then I took a blood sample and got an expected result. Easy to operate with no complicated button combinations. Works just like my glucose meter. The meter is cheap because the test strips are expensive. Same game as with printers and printer cartridges in my view. I do not use the downloadable app, i don't need it or its complications. I use a simple spreadsheet, plus the meter has a memory. I recommend if all you want to do is get accurate readings.

The kit contains everything you need to get started measuring ketones & blood sugar (glucose). BS has 3 settings: general, fasting & after eating. Order replacement supplies directly from BKT.

This leaves much more to be desired. Sure, there is an app and it does the job. Though, when I measure my ketone levels it shows 0.5 on the meter and 0.0 in the app. Hmm. The glucose levels match up ok. The app is as simple as you can get. You have to pair the device and sync your app to the device after every test... not sure if the app is useful, at this point. 🤔 Maybe just another marketing ploy to sell more devices. If I were to make this purchase again, I'd perform more research than I initially did prior to spending the money on this particular device. Accuracy is 1 star due to the discrepancy in the meter vs the app. Value? Not sure. This is the only device I've used. I'd have spent more for a meter that I KNOW doesn't have the issue this one has.
