I can’t stand shaving, and going to the salon to wax my legs triggers my social anxiety so my legs get BUSHED. I was very excited to try this epilator. It HURTS. It is seriously like a tiny torture device. I was certain everyone exaggerated and it would be no big deal, I wax, I gave birth... Bro... Minus 1 star for being unreasonably painful. My leg hairs are thick and they were completely grown in. I’m hoping maintenance is less painful than the initial removal 😢 UPDATE: This thing is IT! It hurts (a lot less as you go) but this thing works! Trust me, stick with it, pull your skin taught and get those hairs out. My legs are razor smooth without the razor burn. I can mindlessly remove every hair while watching my phone, it is easy, easy. I will never go to a salon for my leg hairs ever again. Adding that star back because it hurts a lot less as you go. Tolerable. UPDATE AGAIN: I am in love. I will never go back to any other hair removal technique, I don't need a different device, this thing is it. I braved epilating my underarms 2 weeks post-wax. It was basically painless. I did my legs again, also basically painless. This device works so well. It grabs short hairs, thin hairs, it does not care, and it exfoliates my skin. Epilating tips include “not chasing every hair” but this device gel it every single one of my hairs. I’m excited for regrowing leg and underarm hair just so I can epilate again. I am still not brave enough to epilate the bikini area, but there is a trimmer attachment included that works great. I wish I had more stars to give!

I have used this for the first time on my face and although it was quite painful (as all epilators are) it worked really well. Charged quickly, was easy to clean and has 2 settings. Once I got the hang of it, I was able to quickly remove those pesky face hairs, including the thicker chin hairs that come with older age! I haven't tried it on my legs or other areas yet, but plan to do that soon.

Well..... I did it - I used it. It is not as bad as I thought it would be. Did it hurt? yes and no. I had just gotten it - charged it and just want to see how it felt. I was amazed on just having shaved 2 days prior how much hairs it could pull... and how much I suck at shaving my legs with a razor because I must miss a lot. I was able to get some hairs - the feeling is weird - while I would not call it pain-pain, sometimes it felt like it was hot.. sometimes it felt like little shocks. When I kept using it, it seems like your skin gets used to it and it really don't hurt any more. After use I washed my legs with cool-warmish water - not too hot as that hurts more. I then placed palmer's moisturizing cocoa-shea butter oil on my legs and no pain. I had red bumps for a few hours afterwards. I used again 2 days after the 1st time - this time I had a lot more to pull... and it hurt at first - more hair to pull. But it was tolerable and as I said above, you get used to the feeling. I have red bumps and they are hanging around longer than the prior epulation. My daughter tried it on a small batch and she said it felt like getting a tattoo. I would not know how that feels as I have not had one. If you are on the fence about trying it - do it. I am actually excited about using it as I know over time, you get used to it, and the hairs will come in softer and slower. The shaver comes with the epilator head and shaver head. also a brush to clean heads when done. all work well. product is as described.

Definitely need to go slow when starting to use. It’s super easy to use and it’s very effective. I have pcos and am on medication once the hair is gone it generally doesn’t come back, which is nice. Never got the chance to try out the shaver, I dropped it right before I went to use it and the shave attachment piece broke.

OMG! I cannot believe I waited so long to order it. I just got it today (delivery was not the best, I had to hunt down my package but that is another subject) and I was very unpatient to use it. I had to use it today. I was very nervous because I saw a lot of terrifying videos of "how much pain this causes" ( from "high pain tolerance people"). I was ready to bite my lip when I turned it on and pressed it against my skin. I guess I am a true high pain tolerant person with very sensitive skin too. The pain I rate it like a 3.... and after only a few minutes the so called pain even felt satisfying. It was very satisfying to see how clean my skin was after each use. It did create lilttle bumps on my arms and the so called strawberry skin... that according to everyone that uses this its expected. In less than maybe 20 min max.. I did both my arms... and both legs.. I was very nervous about underarm but I did that too... the pain nothing compared to all the reviews I read and all the videos I saw. I am so GLAD I was brave to order.. the price also made me take a long time to order because to my budget this is NOT CHEAP but now that I have it and I used it... ONLY once... I have no regrets!!! Its so worth it.

Amazing product. I have one that is 25 years old and still working but I wanted a new one for better performance. It is, this is great, works excellent at pulling the hair and keeps the charge for a week at least and then did both of my legs! I love the fact that I am not glued to the electrical outlet to charge it while a use it. This can still hurt if you are new at it, but after 30 years, I barely feel it. I run it very quickly all over and it numbs my skin for some reason, and after that I do it in detail, weird but it helps me. I had one in Europe 30 years ago, they made a tremendous progress/improvements since then.

It’s okay. You have to charge between every use. Can hardly get through 2 legs. Feels week. I’ve used better. You have to go over the same spot multiple times.

I write this with red speckled, smooth legs and hairy armpits. Let me start by saying Oh my effing god. Ok. I’ve never used an epilator before. I’d ordered a wax kit and decided this would be a good companion. I started with this instead of waxing first. I have no idea if this was a bad idea. I was scared to try it at first but once you get going it’s not so bad. Not so bad. But darling … OW. It HURTS really badly at times. I couldn’t do my under arms but i did get both legs (top and bottom, front and back) done and about a 10th on my bikini line on one side in roughly an hours time. Seems to have ripped hair from the roots. I saw a lot of bulbous ends. My hair was probably a little longer than 1/8th of an inch but less than 1/4 I think. I’ll update another time. Hopefully this went well and my legs don’t stay irritated, as I’m about to go on vacation and was the reason I bought this.

Good machine, just wish the battery last more.

Stopped charging after a week

Wow, I have two other epilators and neither of them compare to this. The other two are Phillips! This one gets the hair and pulls it out to the root. I've rarely seen that with the other two I have. This Braun Epilator is fantastic. I'm so hoping this is the answer to the numerous ingrown hairs I get very frequently. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS EPILATOR!!
