As a parent, I absolutely love this smartwatch for my daughter. The real-time GPS tracking gives me peace of mind because I always know where she is, and it's easy to stay in touch with her throughout the day. She can make video calls, use voice-to-text messaging, and even contact other approved family members and friends without the distractions or risks of unrestricted internet access. The companion app is very user-friendly and gives parents a lot of control. I can decide exactly who is allowed to contact my daughter, set reminders for her daily tasks, and even schedule when the watch is active. I love being able to disable it during school hours or at night so there are no distractions. One of my daughter's favorite features is the music player. She's obsessed with listening to music, and she can easily connect her earbuds and enjoy her playlists whenever she wants. The battery life is another big plus. It lasts long enough that she doesn't have to charge it every day. The emergency SOS button is another feature I really appreciate. Knowing she can press one button to call me if she ever needs help adds an extra layer of security. My only complaint is that the watch band isn't as durable as I would like. However, the company's customer service is outstanding, and they back the product with a one-year warranty, which gave me confidence that they stand behind what they sell. UPDATE • Aug. 28, 2026 TickTalk Watch — UPDATE: Buyer Beware. Customer Service Has Vanished. We have been trying to reach TickTalk support for 48 hours with zero response — not through the in-app chatbot, not by email, not even via Instagram. For a device marketed as a safety lifeline for kids who may not be able to advocate for themselves, this silence is unacceptable. Here’s what happened: We purchased this watch in October 2024 for our teenage son, who has special needs, specifically because it offered a secure way for him to reach us without the risks of a smartphone. For a long time, it delivered on that promise. It no longer does. Two nights ago, the watch stopped charging entirely. No damage, no water exposure, no debris. We cleaned the contacts and tested multiple outlets and cables. Nothing worked. We went through the chatbot, completed every troubleshooting step, and were told we’d hear back “as soon as possible.” We followed up by email, in-app chat, and Instagram. Still nothing. Other recent reviews describe this exact pattern — we are clearly not alone. The band is also a built-in flaw. It comes in exactly one size. As our son grew, the silicone band’s holes stretched and tore repeatedly, requiring multiple warranty replacements. Third-party bands are not an option — the antenna is embedded in the band itself, so you are permanently dependent on TickTalk for a part that wears out. Why this matters: This is not a smartwatch for convenience. It is a communication lifeline for a child who may not be able to speak up for himself in an emergency Right now, my son has no way to reach me if something happens, and the company has made itself completely unreachable. A safety device that fails silently, backed by a company that won’t answer, is not a safety device at all. Bottom line: Do not buy this watch expecting reliable support if something goes wrong. We recently purchased the TickTalk watch for our teenage son with special needs as an alternative to a traditional smartphone. This device has been nothing short of a lifesaver for our family! My 6 year old son has been using this watch for 6 weeks. We are using the T-Mobile plan. The grey band is sporty and looks nice. You can choose your face design and the features are 100% controlled by you from your phone. For now my son can only call and receive calls from myself and his dad. Service is good, my son can call or video chat from his watch whenever he wants and so far it has been clear and easy for him. He isn’t using the texting feature yet but I’ve played with it and it works great. I have it programmed to Do Not Disturb mode during school hours, but have peace of mind knowing he can use the red emergency button to contact myself or his dad anytime. I like that I can track his location, even at school. I can see when he’s in his classroom versus on the playground for recess or his school’s multi purpose room. I took a star off because the gps has been off by a few blocks sometimes on a few occasions. I did figure out that when gps location is off by blocks, if you close the app and reopen it typically shows the accurate location again. It’s been rinsed with water to clean off dirt and dust as needed, he wears it to the stables and it gets pretty dirty. So far rinsing with water briefly to clean has not Created problems. He gets about 2 1/2 days per charge depending on how he uses the watch. He calls his dad a dozen times a day when he’s not in school and there have been no dropped calls regardless of our location. After 6 weeks I can say I would recommend this watch. I was able to speak to customer service by phone a couple times with various questions so I know they are available as needed for problems or questions. I got the plan that comes with a warranty and also covers a broken watch band within the first year.

This is something that I would recommend to anyone who has a child or a person that they take care of who they need to get in contact with, it has its own service provider and Wi-Fi capability for a stronger signal, you can text video call and voice call and call regular on the phone. This is something that has worked for us. I have an elementary student that I take pride in wrapping that around her wrist and sending her off to school knowing that I can talk to her whenever I feel necessary. The color is good And we love the watch the GPS capability is great as well when she goes on field trips.I can see exactly where she is and know where she is every second of the day.

We've had different models of the TickTalk watch for our kids since the original version (1, 3, and 4), all with mostly positive experiences, but the TickTalk 5 has been awful. We've had multiple 5's over the past couple of years and every single one follows the same pattern: It works great for a couple months, then the watchband breaks, so we have to replace it (with a different brand that holds up perfectly fine). Then the connectivity issues start such that it only has service off and on so we can't reach our kids and vice versa. Something with the current design makes it so the SIM card won't stay in contact with the pins inside, completely negating the purpose of the watch. We've fixed it according to customer support instructions, but the fixes don't last. We already did a replacement round of returns and customer service was great, but the new ones did the exact same thing. Every version of the TickTalk watch we had before was good quality, but we can no longer use these reduced quality, constantly malfunctioning devices when it comes to something as important as our kids' safety.

I'm really pleased with this watch - it's great! The initial setup was straightforward, and I found the app to be very accessible and simple to navigate. The device's location accuracy was a bit sketchy at first, but once I was able to manually set the correct location, it seemed to resolve the issue. I've been using it for a while now, and the battery has been holding up well, often lasting a full day or even stretching into the second day. The overall build quality is solid, too. You're free to use any SIM card from other network providers, as long as it's compatible with either the AT&T or T-Mobile network.
