It exceeds expectations! If you’re one the fence, buy one. 👍🏻
The designer(s) nailed it with this! I crashed my OG Avata 2 to beyond being flyable. This kit fits perfectly and was definitely made to help reinforce the drone’s structural integrity. Fairly easy to assemble/install—just go slow and don’t tighten everything until all parts are in place. Quality wise—this kit is worthy of being sold by DJI as an official accessory. As far as effecting flight performance..?.. I flew 4 batteries with it and maybe there’s a little more prop-wash, but negligible compared to the armor it provides. I had some rubber duct guards on the original one and experienced worse flight effects than with this kit. Now, I installed this on a brand new (un-crashed) Avata 2. Not sure how installation would be if installing on one that has a few crashes and ducts are bent or warped. But, I could see this possibly still being made to work and reinforce one that’s been crashed. If you’re a relatively new pilot that crashes a lot, buy this. It’s legit 👍🏻

Great Product! Must have for AVATA 2..
Extremely valuable product. If you have an AVATA 2, this product can save your drone from damage. It fits around the cowlings to protect the drone from crashes. It is very well built and i would highly recommend this to protect your AVATA 2.

Very nicr
If you have an Avata 2, you HAVE TO have this, its an absolute must. It will save you a lot of money. Its built and deaigned well creating a closed impact system, diverting force through the carbon fiber to the center of the drone where that force can be tolerated. This combined with a 1 peice gimbal guard, not 2 peice (allows for further structural rigidity in a place that takes a lot of impact) and youre set. I learned through multiple Avata 2 trial and error, and now on my 4th, continueing to crash and take the same impact as before, but not a single scratch on the drone. The drone is built well, but the Avata 2 is fairly capable of flying fast and its heavy, so yes without the afore mentioned add ons, youll be doing a lot of waiting for replacement part then actually enjoying the drone. Lesson learned, and its nice to feel safe knowing a few screws some metal and carbon fiber make the drone almost un breakable.

Almost made me lose my drone
Drone was flying fine prior to installing this. Bought this to avoid disaster but after installing my drone could barely take off and then to overcorrect it would fly off high pretty fast backwards, up and to the left. Even the pause button wouldn’t work it just kept floating away. Could be user error but they don’t tell you that you may have to recalibrate stuff or the issues you could potentially see. Or steps to avoid it. My drone nearly offed itself in the lake with not input from me that I could do to correct it and get it back to me. I will be returning. I’d like a refund. Or atleast some for of compensation because I nearly lost $1k like 3 times and did lose about $100 bucks from the one flight after install/damages it caused

Protective, good design, tiny screws a bit iffy
Seems to provide excellent protection. I have crashed it a few times in ways that would have previously bent the frame / prop guards. I am only docking it a star because it wasn't clear to me at purchase that it used 3d printed parts. The threaded inserts have slipped / stripped a bit and the one came completely loose. Took 30-40 minutes to figure out and install, many parts and small screws. Otherwise, good design, very clever.

Yeah yeah I know
Yeah I know they say don't put the gimbal guards on your drone cuz you can crack the frame of your drone and impact but I will say in the defense of this one it doesn't screw directly into your drone body it has a adapter that goes behind the gimbal that pushes up against the body but it also fit securely into the open area on the side of your drone it also has silicone cushioning on the ends that will also help on impact they they say you can't see it with your camera but I will say this if you doing a rough stop during your pitch it will bounce and you'll see it for a second in certain situations if you aim the gimbal straight down you will see the bottom of this car but for your overall flight and regular flying and gimbal at 0° it's not visible if you're flying stable

Perfect.... If you want to make sure it doesn't walk away
This made a minor landing anomaly a full fledged frag grenade. I got to use it for 1 minute and 40 seconds. I crashed in grass with not much momentum. I mean this was more normal day to day for me, I hit solid objects at full speed once lots of times and never broke the plastic. It feels brittle like a wafer cookie as it feels the inside is more air then should be. I don't think I will buy another, as no protection was better for me.

Fits the Avata 2 perfectly
I had ordered this for my Avata 2 drone, thinking that it would look cool with the carbon fiber. I found that the fit was perfect, but I was questioning what it is actually providing you in landing support. The second comment was that if I would have known that it was attached by zip ties, I would certainly not have purchased it. I attached it and flew the drone, which there was no impact to performance of the drone. It also was blue to sit back into my foam case as well, it just stuck up a little bit more. This is probably not my favorite addition to my Avata 2 and will likely have the zip ties get cut in the next week or two.
