It’s an amazing book. I could actually visualize the entire story while reading this book. The language used here is so simple. Felt like listening to some ancient story from my grandparents. It truly got the Hindu in me empowered. Loved it. Awaiting for the 2nd part.

This fast-paced narrative dives deep into the religious, spiritual & cultural roots of India, taking pages out of history books & myths to craft a compelling story about the Naga warriors' mission to protect their Dharma. I loved how richly layered & informative the narrative was, aiming to connect the modern Hindus to their cultural roots, which is eroding fast in the face of globalization & Westernization. The climax was fraught with jaw-dropping twists, one after the other. This is book 1 of the series, & leaves you wanting more, which is promised in the sequel. Though a stellar read, it did have its share of minor flaws. 🔱STRENGTH: 1. Flawless writing; good command of language, descriptive yet accessible. 2. Fast-paced with short chapters. 3. Narrative layered with extensive information about Hindu roots & traditions. 4. The climax had ample twists & turns. 🔱WEAKNESS: 1. Character development & growth was surface-level. 2. The story-within-story technique worked well, except when the flow was interrupted by the listener asking meanings of words. Since the listener had no active role to play in the main narrative, these interruptions felt like jarring intrusions. I recently finished reading a remarkable book on the Naga Sadhus, Naga Warriers, ascetics who are devout followers of Lord Shiva. It is both informative and engaging, making it difficult to put down.i have read this book in the 2 stops only. The detailed accounts of their sacrifices, ranging from personal comforts to life itself, left a profound impact on me. I am especially grateful to the author, Mr. Akshat Gupta, for bringing this inspiring and lesser-known aspect of our heritage to light. His meticulous research and storytelling prowess shine through every page. I am eagerly awaiting the next part of this series. For anyone interested in history, spirituality, or the rich cultural tapestry of India, this book is a must-read.

Coming it from a bookworm - If you're interested in raw Indian history, here it is. Read it. We've heard a lot about politicians and freedom fighters, and no doubt they have played very vital roles. But wait, who doesn't? Our civilians and spiritual leaders also contributed a lot without demanding any credit. Nowadays, we've made them a joke to our kids. Why did they come into existence? What was their purpose? Did they serve it? How were they capable of doing and standing against the enemy? The story might sound mythical if not recorded properly, but such minute details can never be written without any possible leads. Also, it's pretty well articulated, beginners could easily read this book. You can even read it to your kids, skipping a few details depending on the age of your child. Lastly, I wrote all this because, while I'm not a big fan of reading Indian history from regular writers, I mean the source has to be authentic and not in a story-type format.
