Conocí este sistema para conservar la mantequilla hace un par de años, en casa de unos alemanes, y he de decir que me encantó. Lo busqué en Amazon hace un par de meses y encontré algunos vendedores alemanes que los vendían a precios prohibitivos, por eso, cuando hace unas semanas volví a hacer la búsqueda y los vi de nuevo tan bonitos y a ese precio, no me lo pensé dos veces. Super práctico y muy bonito. Perfecto para disfrutar la mantequilla a temperatura ambiente, untable y con sabor. Estamos encantados con la compra.

Does exactly as claimed. Easy to use, and butter is always in perfect spreadable condition. Friends have asked me where I got it, which is a good indication of how cool these are. I think it would make a good gift to someone who likes a kitchen tool that solves problems. This Butter Bell holds about one fifth or one quarter of a pound of butter. For me that is near ideal as I use about a pound or sometimes a little more than a pound of butter a month, which doesn't include what you might also use if you were baking cookies or making Eggs Benedict one Sunday. If you go through butter quicker than that maybe look for a larger container, but keep in mind the freshness this crock allows is a feature worth having. Change the water every three days or so, and you are good to go. I keep mine on the counter but bear in mind that if you use appliances that you store elsewhere but use on the countertop that this crock, being ceramic, will heat up if near a cooking appliance (a toaster is OK though). The result if the butter melts into the water is not very handy, so keep it in a nice room temperature location and you will love it.
