I have keratosis pilaris on my upper arms and legs and have been trying out products to help either reduce the visibility of it or get rid of it entirely so I very was excited to try out the DERMAdoctor KP Duty Body Peel Pads. The "wipes" come in a cardboard box and are individually wrapped in easily openable foil packets, you get 10 wipes per box. On the foil packet containing the wipe it states that there's 5ml/0.17fl oz of liquid product per wipe. The main active ingredients in the liquid that infuses the wipe are AHA (Alpha-Hydroxy Acid), BHA (Beta-Hydroxy Acid) and PHA (Polyhydroxy Acid) - all of these work together to help exfoliate the skin and to promote cell turnover which results in improved skin texture, skin tone, can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as fading dark spots and hyperpigmentation. As I have sensitive skin I did small patch tests on my inner elbows and behind my knees, thankfully I didn't experience any irritation or redness so felt OK to use the wipe on my upper arms and my upper legs. There was a barely noticeable small tingle at first but this went away very quickly, there was also an extremely faint citrus scent. I didn't want to overdo it on my first application so after using the wipe, I waited the recommended three minutes and then rinsed my arms and legs. My skin felt very soft and just to be on the safer side of comfort I used a non-scented vitamin E moisturising cream. After using the pads a few times now I'm definitely noticing a slight reduction of the bumps from the KP and my skin feels extremely soft. With 10 pads per box, at the recommended use of 2 to 3 times per week, a box is going to last around five weeks and if you want to keep the KP at bay you're probably going to need to keep using these so the price is definitely going to be a consideration. At the time I ordered these (29/05/2024) they were around £58.00. For me personally, the DERMAdoctor KP Pads would be out of my price range for continued use and as there are cheaper alternatives that give you a lot more product for a much smaller price, I wouldn't re-order these unless they were on offer or there was a voucher.

Each pad comes in an individual wrapper and easy to open and use as directed. I have two areas of skin concerns and used 3 towels on the first as directed . My skin in that area feels soft and smooth but the KP remains. I’m hoping it will improve as time goes on. The second area was in the lower leg. The skin here reacted more to the ingredients in the pads and was a little red for two days but not sore. This redness disappeared and there was a noticeable difference to the smoothness and softness of the skin . I do wonder if the redness was as a result of the active ingredients working better in this area. A day later my skin is still lovely and soft and feels nourished . Mixed results for me and not positive enough to pay for what is quite expensive skincare . However ,if smoothness is maintained long term in the areas mentioned , I would consider trying again

These are not a cheap option but they're very easy to use and easy to pack to take away on holiday if you want to take some. Each pad is an individually wrapped glycolic acid pad which makes them very convenient but rather wasteful in packing. You get ten pads for £29.99 so each pad costs £3. The idraiis that you wipe/rub the skin in the area which has bumps. I would suggest that should you have sensitive skin it would be an idea to test a small area first. I found that I didn't get any adverse reaction and the pad did seem to help smooth my legs that had bumps from shaving. It did work but I also find exfoliating works so I am not convinced I would buy these again at the price.

This is quite a miracle cure for me. I have KP all my life and got worst here in the UK with the long hot showers. In just 4 uses (2 weeks), I totally see difference in the appearance. Even on first use, it already flatten the bumps. The bumps now look tiny until I use another pad. Most of them are like dark scars now that’s lightening already. It is easy to use just minutes before shower. One pad will cover my arms and legs. It would probably be more effective if I use one for both arms and another one for the legs but I am trying to make it last the whole summer season so I can confidently show my legs and arms under the blue skies. Highly recommend. It’s expensive but very effective for me. I am definitely buying this again. Smoothing creams are too gentle for me and results take a while. This is good for seeing quick results safely.

These are easy to use wipes. The instructions recommended placing the wipes on the affected skin area, and allowing the liquid to work for 2 to 3 minutes prior to washing with warm water. I have KP on the back of my upper arms only so I used one wipe for both, but they aren't as saturated as I would've liked so I'm not sure how far they'll go if you want to use them on larger areas. Once applied you can instantly feel the product working. There's a tingling sensation on the skin,feels slightly uncomfortable but not painful. It's recommended that you use 2 a week so there are enough for 5 weeks. I have already seen an improvement on my skin so I think 5 weeks might be enough for a course of treatment.

No es del todo efectivo pero si reduce la “inflamación” y reduce los poritos. Sobre todo después de la depilación con cuchilla. Es fácil de aplicar. Yo intento aprovechar al máximo el producto para exfoliar varias veces. Lo probé en queloides pero desafortunadamente no vi cambios.

Obwohl ich keine „Chicken skin“ habe, war ich sehr neugierig auf die Tücher und wollte sie unbedingt ausprobieren. Die Anwendung ist vor dem Duschen auf der trockenen Haut. Das Tuch wird aus der Verpackung entnommen und kann dann großzügig über die Haut geschrubbelt werden. Ich war erstaunt, dass sie recht trocken waren. Irgendwie hatte ich sie mir feuchter vorgestellt. Vom Geruch her war vorallem ein alkoholischer Duft deutlich präsent, was mich aber nicht weiter störte. Also begann ich mit den für mich wichtigsten Arealen. Hierzu zählen meine Oberschenkel, wo öfters mal kleine Härchen einwachsen und dadurch eine raue, unebene Stelle resultiert, sowie meine Ellbogen. Danach habe ich meinen gesamten Körper abgerieben und das ganze 5 weitere Minuten einwirken lassen. Meine Haut brizzelte ein wenig während der Anwendung, obwohl sie nicht sehr empfindlich. Aber das steht als Hinweis auch in der Anleitung und scheint völlig normal zu sein. Danach habe ich mich mit warmem Wasser abgeduscht und alles runtergespült. Eine feuchtigkeitsspendene Creme habe ich danach aufgetragen, weil die Haut sonst zu sehr austrocknet. Am nächsten Tag empfand ich meine Haut als sehr weich und glatt und war ganz zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis. Zu beachten ist, dass die Tücher ausdrücklich nicht für das Gesicht geeignet sind, sondern nur vom Hals abwärts genutzt werden sollen. Außerdem ist eine 2-Wöchige Pause empfohlen und somit nicht als tägliche Routine gedacht. Außerdem sollte man anschließend die Haut vor Sonneneinstrahlung schützen, weil sie empfindlicher sein kann und die Sonnenbrandgefahr so erhöht sein kann. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und kann die Tücher bei unebener Haut mit eingewachsenen Haaren sehr empfehlen.
