With AeroGarden shutting down its business on January 1st I needed to find replacement. That replacement is LetPot and the Lawton Max 21 pod hydroponic garden. It’s so much better than AeroGarden as it has so many more functions and features. My favourite is automatic mode, which allows an external reservoir to keep the water levels full and the nutrient reservoir add the correct amount of nutrients as needed. This is a game changer here when you go on vacation or away for periods of time. It becomes set and forget! Also, the greater capacity for pods, which I may say are also compatible with my AeroGarden pods, I can grow more in one footprint. So you’re looking for hydroponic garden or replacement to your AeroGarden you don’t have to look any further LetPot Max is the one!

First, I have to note that i ordered two in the span of a few months. The 1st one, ordered like 3 months ago, varies from the 2nd one which I just ordered this week. The 2nd one has a tiltable light, whereas the first is fixed. I'm not sure why that is lol, but I guess it's not the worst problem to have. I like the 2nd one a little more because of that, but im not going to bother with a return or exchange, since my plants are established/establishing. Plants seem to be growing well. I hope these last me a while. I just hooked up the tube for auto watering. One tip i recommend is to place the clear end (without the metal bit) first in a cup of just boiled water to that it will be much, much easier to insert and connect the tube to the unit. Hope that helps!

I wanted to throw this piece of trash across the room and set it on fire. I don’t even want my $300 back - I want to watch this thing go up in flames. First off; does every item I own have to have its own app now? This is absurd, it’s for growing lettuce, you don’t need onto my wifi network. You need to notify me when the water’s low? How about a flashing light? I bought it for my mum who isn’t about to download a smartphone app to grow some lettuce in her house - so we tried to set it up in Automatic mode. Which requires you to get a 20L drum of water to run a hose to. Fine. We do this. However - the machine keeps defaulting back to Manual Mode and flooding itself, the seeds, and the fertilizer chamber with water. Water all over the place, plastic cages popping out, seeds everywhere, fertilizer completely watered down, it just keeps pumping long past the max line. Your screen looks fancy but is not functional, feels fragile and is challenging to understand. Your manual is missing imperative information. I feel like I got tricked into buying the prototype of something. Not planning to continue to use the device, I hate it.

First-time with hydroponics over here: Intimidating to open and start but actually very simple to set up and mostly hands free since initial setup. The pump is very very quiet and can only hear if standing with ears right next to the unit. Lights are not any more intrusive than a lamp, in my opinion. Started with bare root Albion strawberry plants and micro variety tomato plant seeds. 17 growing days in and this is an absolute delight. Healthiest plants I’ve ever grown. We’ll see how they do at maturity. I did not setup the auto water adding hose or the phone app. My children mostly run this and did not want them to have to use a phone to operate it. We’ve only added water once so far, at the 14 day mark.
