You get what you pay for.
Tacky, but in a really delightful sort of way. Are the tassels chains? Heck YES, the tassels are chains! Will recommend you score up the bottoms with a razor, maybe a dremel-- next to no traction, but they're dress shoes, so that's to be expected.

Overall great shoes
The toe box was a little tight, couldn’t really move my toes. But not at all uncomfortable. The tassels are not fragile, or they didn’t feel it at least. The sole of the shoe is hard rubber, so it makes a lot of noise and has minimal grip, but not really an issue.

Nothing to dislike. It's definitely a classy looking shoe and comfortable as well.

If you have narrow feet this shoe would be ro wide.
The shoe did what it needed to for the engagement. He was able to add arch support.

Watch out for tassel!
Christmas celebration! Tassel fell off at some point into the night , lost it because didn’t know when it came off!
