まずは素晴らしい。これまで時間をかけて、いろんなブラシや液体を使って、お金もかけてクリーニングしていたことが馬鹿馬鹿しく、間抜けに思える。もちろん全てのプチプチは無くならないが、それはブラシでも同じこと。これで無くならないノイズはもう諦めればよし。プレイヤー周りのごたごたが無くなって良かったです。因みに細かいノイズは無くなりました。買って良かったです。もう手作業には戻れません。マジで。あとは壊れないことを祈ってます。因みに、モノラル時代のグラモフォンで、若干直径が小さいものはローラーが空回りして自動で回りませんので。

Die Handhabung ist super einfach, die Reinigung läuft weitgehend automatisch.Im Vergleich zu anderen Methoden/Maschinen, die ich früher genutzt habe, ein echter Gewinn.Die Humming Guru ist relativ leise, doch die Ultraschall Reflektionen, die von der Platte nach außen kommen, können schon etwas störend sein.Ich starte den Waschvorgang deshalb meistens in der Küche, und mache die Türe zu. Da alles zuverlässig und automatisch läuft, ist das absolut unkritisch.Die Ergebnisse sind der Hammer. Selbst alte Platten aus den 60ern und 70ern, die ich seit Jahren nicht mehr spielen wollte, klingen wie frisch gepresst. Und Neupressungen verlieren zuverlässig den Schmodder, der oft nach der Pressung zurückbleibt. Alles in allem eine echte Qualitätssteigerung für die Vinyl Schätzchen...

It improves the sound of vinyl records by removing microscopic dust particles in the grooves. The record should have as much fluff, mold and dirt removed ahead of time as possible using whatever works for you now. It doesn't clean that kind of stuff very well. You have to be around to push the button every so often. I use it most often by pushing the button for a 5 minute clean cycle, at the end of that cycle I push the button for another 5 minute clean cycle followed automatically by a 10 minute drying cycle. So it is: pre-clean the record, then 20 minutes in the machine. It is noisy, I need to be in the room to push the button but I try to stay at least 15 feet away most of the time. Some records improve to the point where they sound nearly brand new, on some you can hear a noticeable reduction in background noise and pops and clicks. Some records may benefit from a second round of cleaning. It helps a lot, but it doesn't take a dirty record and make it "new" again all by itself. It is another tool to help save the music that is on the records. And it costs $700 CAN where the next cheapest ultrasonic designed to clean records costs thousands of dollars more. It isn't for everyone, if you have a couple hundred vinyl records and you are not completely satisfied with what you do now to clean them, you might want to add this tool to your arsenal. There are many videos on YouTube of people demonstrating the machine. You should look at several videos before you decide if you want to buy one. The instructions are good and it is straight forward to use.

I'm kind of a vinyl nut. Picked a vintage turntable up on a whim (because I'm already that color of weird), and had it restored professionally. Since then, I've expanded my record collection to a respectable 500-odd records scattered across about 200 albums, mostly vintage opera and classical, with some rock, metal, and video game soundtracks interspersed amongst them....told you I was weird. But you didn't listen.Anyway, I have records dating back to the 40s and 50s, and some of them are so caked with dust that they sound more like a bowl of Rice Krispies than an actual record. I had thought to simply purchase a motor and make use of my large ultrasonic cleaner, but I use that primarily for cleaning circuit boards, and if there's one chemical I don't want to touch my records, its the EC fluid. That stuff is nasty. So instead, I purchased the Humminguru. I had previously purchased Triton X-100 in anticipation of record cleaning, and I already have a supply of isopropyl alcohol that I use in my electronics projects, so all that remained was to get my hands on Hepastat 256...or in this case, its functional equivalent - Virex II.I have to admit, some of my records required more than one deep clean, but the difference is truly hard to believe. With a properly dialed-in turntable and a good needle, my listening experience went from wincing every odd second to just *experiencing* the music. There is the *very occasional* bit of crackling that remains, but these are on records that were practically unplayable, and another deep clean should sort that out properly.Now, as with all Ultrasonic Cleaners, the noise it produces is somewhat unpleasant - a kind of hissing, spitting, almost electrical arcing sound. That is unfortunately the nature of the beast, and compared to my industrial one, the noise IS rather reduced as much as feasible. Setup is simple, and the device is well-suited to its intended purpose. It is compact, light, unobtrusive, and has rather clean and simple aesthetics. It is easy to use and performs its task well.I appreciate that there is a clear indicator on the fill tank for 12"/10" and 7" records in order to help protect the labels from water damage, though I would have appreciated both a proper label protection device AND if the tank indicators weren't simply molded into the clear plastic, but had black ink to let them be more visible - with a tank full of clear (or mostly-clear) cleaning fluid, it can be hard to see exactly where the level is if there are bubbles from the surfactant/detergent. Easily fixed with a black highlighter, but...come on. For this price? That should have been a trivial thing to accomplish.The drying process expels the water back into the reservoir before blowing the record clean and dry. This can cause bubbles in a surfactant, and might lead to some spillage if you have just a touch too much of the detergent in the water (as I did first time 'round). Make sure you have this on a towel if you haven't dialed in your ratios.All in all, an excellent device that has only small 'issues', and nothing that is worthy of the reduction of a star. At worst, I might say 4.5/5.Features I would like to see:- Double-duty fill/refill reservoir: I'd like to not have to pour the water back into the cleaning tank, but rather fill the reservoir and have it fill/empty the cleaning tank automatically, ideally with a filter to preserve the integrity of the cleaning liquid as long as possible.- Replace filter/fluid indicator: Paired with the above, a simple Brix meter that you could calibrate from a fresh tank and which would let you know when your cleaning fluid, or the water filter, needed replacing.EDIT: So, there is an extended reservoir+auto fill device specifically for the Humminguru. I've since purchased it and it works well enough - though it seems a little imprecise when it comes to filling up the 350ml needed for 12" records. It does largely address most of the real inconvenience of the Humminguru, however.

Expensive but well worth the outlay if you have a decent sized vinyl collection.To be honest, this has worked unbelievably on the some of my worst crackling records and even ones who jumped.All 200 of my vinyls are now spotless.I was wondering whether it was worth the money but I have to say that it is worth the money because the sound difference in my vinyl is very noticeableI also bought the ultrasonic stylus cleaner and that's amazing. Again it was expensive but combined with this I am getting perfect sound from my pro ject Evo 2 On every single thing that I play
