My mom developed flakey psoriasis on her scalp after losing her hair to chemo and was constantly scratching her head. I researched products and decided to get this one for her and I am so glad I did! She says the itchy, scaly patches are almost gone and it no longer flakes. She has thick hair growing back and says she puts a generous layer on the patches and leaves it on. This product is amazing and has helped her SO much!

This is the only thing I’ve found that helps slow down the cell turnover on my scalp psoriasis. Leave it on for the suggested time and your scalp will be healthy for a good couple days. I typically have to wash my hair every 2nd day but when I use this mask I can go a 3rd day until having to wash.

This worked fairly well for my dry, itchy scalp, especially during flare-ups. After a few uses, I noticed less itching and flaking, and my scalp felt calmer overall. The salicylic acid seems to do a good job loosening buildup without being overly harsh. What I liked most was that it didn’t leave my hair feeling stripped or brittle like some medicated scalp products do. It actually added a decent amount of moisture and made my hair feel softer than expected. The consistency is thick and easy to apply directly to the scalp. That said, the scent is a little medicinal and not my favorite, and it may take several uses before seeing major improvement if your scalp issues are severe. It also works best when used consistently. Overall, I think it’s a solid option for anyone dealing with dryness, flakes, or scalp irritation who wants something more moisturizing than a traditional medicated shampoo.

I’m here to tell you that this product is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I’m 70, retired, living in SW Florida, and get a lot of sun! Since I am pretty much bald, my scalp can get overly dry with what I presume is mild keratosis. I bought the MG 217 scalp care product…didn’t need a shampoo… and love the way it gently but effectively exfoliates, and leaves my scalp smooth and free of any itchiness. The tingling sensation lets you know it’s working. It will be part of my daily regimen from now on. A MUST buy!!!

After having used this for a couple months now, I figured I’d give my .02. As I sit here, with the masque currently applied to my scalp to sit for a while to really exfoliate, I have 100% proof now that this stuff is harsh. Every time I used this product, mind you in conjunction with other anti dandruff products as I have annoying seborrheic dermatitis, my face would always get bright splotchy red. Since I was using a cocktail of products, I had no idea what was causing it. But now, with only water and this product, it’s definitely this. I’m also not sure it actually helps. Granted, I only ever let is sit a max of 15 min each time before which is why I wanted to let this sit longer but with how red my face is getting, I’m going to need to cease use. I have never had an issue with these ingredients before so not sure why the continued reaction on this one.
