Nice Upgrade!
Awesome freewheel. Wanted to add some range and gears on my fat bike and the swap was perfect on my stock Mongoose Dolomite setup, perfect fit with no spacers or mods needed! Went from a 7 speed to a 8 speed and paired it with a whole new group set. I recommend this over the Shimano Megarange if the the shift from 1st to 2nd gear was way to drastic for your taste with the Shimano. Worked well for me.

Great!
If you're a serious cyclist ditch the freewheel wheelset and upgrade to freehub. I became a serious cyclist while using my beginner bike with a freewheel. I kept wearing out the freewheel and replacing it with this one every 3-4k miles. I bought 3 in total. The freewheel is just a flawed and inferior design compared to freehub. If you put big miles on an 8-speed freewheel it will always (3 out of 3 for me) fail early. the bearings are set up in a way that they don't last a long as a freehub design. any 8 speed freewheel will fail early. That being said: If you have a bike that will never be ridden more that 3k miles in its life, like one bought for a kid to ride around the neighborhood. Then this is perfect and will last as long as the bike.

Perfect to upgrade from 7 to 8 speed.
I have recently done a mtb touring bike conversion with 8 speed shimano bar end shifters and made it work with the stock 7 speed, 14-34 freewheel. However there's a big leap from the second lowest to the 34 tooth sprocket. This sunrace eliminates that leap, gives you smooth shifting and eight speeds without having to upgrade to a new cassette hub wheel. Excellent quality with nice shiny zinc plated sprockets, I even decided to put a new kmc x.99 shiny silver chain to accompany this freewheel. Gives the bike that extra bling and functionality.

If you need an 8sp freewheel, this is one
I was building up a loaner fat bike and was doing at least minor upgrades of the junk that came with the low end bike from the factory. When I upgraded the shifters to 8 speed I needed a new freewheel. There's not a lot of options anymore for 8sp freewheels so I'm glad Sunrace is keeping something out there on the market. It actually seems to be better quality than the name brand 7sp I replaced and has a much more useable gear range. It takes a shimano type freewheel tool and installed easily. It locks up right away when pedaling and doesn't wobble when freewheeling, what more can you ask for?

Exactly what I needed
Not too many 8 speed freewheels on the market. But this seemed like the best one for the price and it was perfect exact same size as the generic one I had to replace with slipping rings and chipped teeth. So far so good. Make sure to get the proper lock-ring tool to uninstall your old one.

Cheap for a reason
This freewheel is junk. It's noisy, It wobbles and the bearings are loose. I took it apart and greased the ball bearings (they were dry) Helped for a few minutes. It does look good and it does shift ok but makes a horrible noise when free wheeling. I bought it because it was the only 8 speed freewheel I could find, Now I'm thinking of going to 7 speed so I can buy a Shimano or getting a new wheel and going with a cassette. Very disapointed in the quality of this product.

The stock derailer worked fine with the added gear
Put this on a Mongoose Dolomite, fat bike. This added an additional lower gear to the bottom end. Much appreciated for trail riding. It also makes the top gear a bit higher to. Screwed right on with a standard Shimano freehub tool. The stock derailer worked fine with the added gear, and there was enough room for the added sprocket, but the shifter needed changing to go from my old 7 speed to this 8. Quality seems fine.
