At first I found this a bit strange as it needs to be correctly positioned on the upper back. Once this was done, I managed to direct the kneading to exactly the spot where I had the knots in my shoulder blade and it was a super relief. Great to get to those muscle pains that you cant reach yourself! I also like using it on my calf muscles after being on my feet all day and it feels like a really natural massage with a deep pressure. Now that I am used to it, I find it easy to position and direct to the area I need massaged. Seems to hold its charge for a long time and its great that there is such a long warranty.

I have tried a few shoulder massage units having inherited a strong back genetically. This one has slightly more of a hard plastic firmness to it and can be a bit monotonous with the same motion. I find myself shifting my neck and head to get a more well rounded massage, but no harm in that. On balance it is a good product for the price. More expensive brands have a more realistic touch (slightly softer heads replicate the thumbs and fingers) and a more realistic motion (slight up and down) when comparing machine type of massage to a professional massage. -Of course, nothing can beat a professional massage. I have found it has added benefit of using on my legs; which is great after a long hike. You can adjust your lower legs (calf muscles) at an angle between rotating heads to find the right amount of pressure and squeezing motion to your liking. I recommend at a 4 of 5 stars and will continue to use. More expensive brands will cost more, but can reach the full 5 stars.

I’ve actually bought a number of different massaging machines due to a bad back. I had really high hopes for this one, but sadly, they are better out there. This one is just a bit clumpy and as much as it does your neck and shoulders (not brilliantly either) it’s really very uncomfortable moving it around to other areas in the back and has no impact.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: While the review below genuinely reflects my experience of this product, it was part of a free trial offered by Comfier - where they reimbursed me for the purchase. Unlike the free-trial Vine reviews we see on Amazon, Comfier didn't want me to mention it was part of a free trial and they put pressure on me to leave a high rating. On a product where I refused to provide a 4 or 5 star rating, they didn't use my review. I purchased a cordless neck massager many years ago and remember being surprised how similar it was to getting a real massage. It even had advantages over going to a masseuse – such as being available at short notice 24/7! Well, it transpires things have moved on in the world of neck massagers and this 2.0 version – instead of using rotating balls – has, what I can only describe as, nodules. These nodules move in and out while rotating and more closely mimic the actions of an authentic massage. Because of the way this system operates, it also provides a much deeper massage than the balls provided. That said you control the depth by pulling on the handles – so it can be a light massage if preferred. While this product is mostly made of plastic, it looks like leather and feels to be a premium product. It also offers the option of high/low intensity massage, different massage modes and has two heat settings. I’m really enjoying using this neck massager and it’s something I’ll be calling on regularly to both destress and relax.

I ordered this product as opposed to competing products because I have bought several Comfier products in the past and found them to be reliable and comfortable. This was no different. The unit arrived swiftly after ordering and arrived well packaged. What I like about this product is the thoughtful design features, it has useful hand straps to keep the unit in place, these are comfortable and not obstructive. The massage unit is covered with a soft durable material that is comfortable on the skin. The well designed neck area of the unit sits comfortably on the neck and delivers a soothing experience directly to the right parts of the next. It is not painful to use and is very relaxing and soothing. I would definitely recommend this product.

This is amazing I have suffered with my back long time and nothing I have tried has really been any good so thought on let’s try this ….. first put it on my neck …. Oh my days then on my back where I have pain …… it feels exactly like someone’s hands giving a deep massage it is amazing I can’t recommend enough

It did relieve some of the pain but the whole thing is quite hard on your back. Bit uncomfortable.

This neck massager is amazing! It’s super powerful and effective while relatively quiet and simple to use. There is an adjustable strap with a buckle that you can close behind your back by bringing the straps from the front of your torso underneath your arms. It fits easily around plus sized bodies. The strap keeps the massager in place, but there are also two loop shaped handles that you can hold onto or drape your arms in. The handles serve as an adjuster for the positioning of the massager, too. If you pull forward/down, then the nodes of the massager move forward on your neck. The smaller massage nodes sit further up on my shoulders than the image implies but I don’t mind. I am a sloucher, though, and that makes a difference with this neck massager. I actually needed to adjust my posture, so that I sat up straighter than usual, in order for the small massage nodes to reach me in an effective manner. The effectiveness overall is extremely impressive. The massage feels deep and it allowed my neck to pop/crack and my head to turn further after only my initial 10 minute use of the product (not that I stopped there). The device turns off automatically after 10 minute increments, but the battery (which is rechargeable via a USB cord) lasts for at least the 70 minutes that the pamphlet says. It’s awesome! The cord is a little bit difficult to remove from the massager, though. It is fine to plug in, but a tight fit for removal. There is an indicator light that shows when the device is charging vs charged as well as indicates the heat level setting. The controls sit on your right shoulder when you use the massager. There are four buttons: a power button (which you hold to power on and off) a mode button (there are two modes, one that provides a smooth movement, and one that is jerky, with brief pauses interspersed), a heat button (there are two heat levels), and a speed button (there are two speeds, which are adjustable for each of the two modes). The massager is technically versatile, because it can be placed against other parts of your body. The pamphlet mentions your waist, but I am too wide for that to be effective, as the nodes of the massager are curved in in an appropriate position to massage your neck. I did use it on my hip for a few minutes, though, and it worked well for that. The booklet also points out that the cover of the massager is removable, and you can clearly see the zipper, but I have not removed it. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the quality of this neck massager and I am so excited that it works as well as it does. I would beyond recommend it!

I ordered this back massager to help my husband after a long day. I thought it could make him more self sufficient dig into the knots, esp. on his neck and shoulders PROS: • If you place it against a stack of pillows and lean into it, you can get a stronger massage • The massage settings allow for various strengths/movements • Cordless/easily moveable around the house • Heat included as needed CONS: • My husband said it was a little too gentle for him (So it looks like it is going to be mine after all) • We had to recharge it fairly quickly after our first use (battery doesn't appear to work for several days without charging between)

I've been using these Shiatzu shoulder massagers for 3 years now and this is the newer generation that has some improvements over 2020-2021. Improvements/Pros =built-in 2500 mAh battery. The older ones had to be plugged in with a wire which is annoying. =controls nicely built into the draping side where it's easily reachable. Some of the older ones put the controls on the wire. =Great material =The whole inside massage stuff has been changed from 2-4 massage balls to this new mechanism which now reaches past the shoulders and down into the back. This is better. Before what you had to do is just keep lowering the device until it reached your upper back. =new strap. Never seen that yet, it allows the device to be held on with previously you had to pull down on the side straps to hold it on and it kept falling off. But all of these improvements with such a low cost is the real pro here. These used to run $80+

This massager is great, it almost feels like actual hands. You can adjust the pressure by pulling the handles down or releasing the tension of the handles. There is also an elastic strap, so you can strap it on and don't have to use your hands. The battery life seems good, I fully charged it right away, and I haven't had to recharge it yet. It also has two modes and heat.
