Provence Epice - Provence Herbs from France, large bag 3.5oz

Nice balance of lots of flavors, very similar to what I found in France

This was a very large bag with good quality ingredients for a very good price and arrived in two days. To give some perspective, the bag is the size of my hand (see photo). I also really appreciated the fact there was no lavender in this mix. Not because, like other reviewers said, lavender is not part of the "traditional" French mix of herbs, though that is true. I just am not particularly fond of lavender and wasn't able to find a Herbes de Provence mix in any store without it. Though you can make this mix on your own, these ingredients are about $4.00 on average for about 0.5 oz containers for each of these herbs individually. That makes this very large bag about half the price and more if you include other potential ingredients like lavender, oregano, and fennel seed I have seen on various recipe sites. I just used this mix in a salad dressing recipe and it was a perfect addition. If you are interested,Mustard Salad Dressing Recipe: 2 tbs balsamic vinegar, 1 tbs extra virgin olive oil, 1 tsp Dijon mustard, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, and a few pinches of Herbes de Provence.

Freshness isn't really an issue, as this is a dried herb mix, but I like that it comes in a good sized bag, and full of flavor. I use it mostly with chicken, but it's quite versatile and can be used to flavor many dishes. A good price for what would essentially equal 2 or 4 basic-sized herb containers from a grocery store. This is my second time purchasing this packet.

Can't go wrong to have on the died herbs shelf. It is not heavy on the lavender and falls in the normal spectrum of herbs de Provence flavors. Balanced and typical for a French supermarche, but a much better price than here in the states.

These herbs de Provence are very similar to the ones I purchased on a trip to Belgium. They are the closest to authentic that I have found out here and rightfully so being that they are a product of France. They will give your food a beautiful flavor that you never knew existed. Earthy and fresh flavors await your food! Can’t even describe it until you try it. Package was perfect. Scent is spot on. Ordered for a second time today. And I ordered the yellow label package. There are better deals on purchasing more than one at a time but the yellow labeled package is the most authentic.

High quality provance spice. I use it in a lot of different dishes. I can’t live without it. It has no lavender which makes it a true provance spice blend. This is a really great spice blend!

The herbs in this package were very fresh and there was no musty smell. This is the first time that I have bought this product so I was not sure if I would like it. It is terrific. The one thing I liked about these herbs is that they did not contain lavender. I am a fan of lavender but not particularly in the food I eat. I used this herb in a soup that I made and it was delicious. I will definitely buy this product again and I highly recommend it.

It is my go to if I need some sort of herby flavor in a dish. I am real glad it does not have lavender as I do not like that in the slightest. Seemed fresh when delievered to me and has held up well with no real loss in flavor that I am able to notice
