Transformed my life, and my Microbiome
I never really took a probiotic supplement before, so I really wasn’t expecting much. But I could tell a big difference and just my gut health within the first two weeks of being consistent with the supplement. The price is right, it’s a great supplement to incorporate into your daily routine, and highly recommend picking this up if you have any sort of got issues and looking to improve the Microbiome.

Prebiotics for the Probiotics
We've used different supplements from Puritan's Pride for many years and have always found them to be of good quality and sometimes a little pricey but usually worth it. I've been taking a daily probiotic for the past few years and have been intending to start a prebiotic as well but just haven't gotten around to it until getting these. I wasn't sure what to expect and so I eased into them with one a day for a week and then moving on to two a day. Gotta say I feel less bloaty and seem to have a little more energy in the afternoons. Overall, I feel like it's working to balance my gut health and keep things all regular. I would get these again if the price is under $20 for a bottle.

Reviewing supplements
I'm not going to lie, I've held off from leaving a review of this Puritan's Pride supplement because my usual criteria for rating products doesn't really work for something like this. I can report that Puritan's Pride is a known company and seems to produce quality products. This particular supplement did not make me ill, and it seems to contain healthy ingredients. When it comes to this industry, you either need to take an extended amount of time and faithfully capture your health markers (while controlling for other variables), or you kind of have to have faith that the company is doing right by you. I choose the latter approach—otherwise, I'm afraid I'd be unable to post an honest review until much, much later.

Only Somewhat Effective And Too Pricey
For the last couple of weeks I've been having several issues with my stomach. These include gassiness, diarrhea, and a general feeling of discomfort in my tummy. Very shortly after I took the first of these Pride caplets, I could feel that sense of discomfort fading away. I was really hoping these prebiotics would make a significant difference. Alas, while they eased that sense of discomfort, they did nothing for the gassiness, nor the diarrhea. Given how those last two have persisted, after a week of taking this product, I can only conclude that these caplets are masking the discomfort without really healing anything. Then there is the price. At it's suggested dosage, these caplets would cost me $30 a month. Other prebiotics cost something like $7.50 a month. For an old guy living on a small pension, that is a massive difference. If these caplets were actually effective for me, I might try to eke out that amount every month, as best I could. Since these caplets don't really work that well for me, I'm not going to bother. I do have to add a couple of caveats to all this and explain why I am giving this product a neutral, 3 star rating. The first one is that human beings are not one size fits all. What works for me, may or may not work for you and vice versa. The second one is about the price. $30 a month is not a lot to some people while it can be a big deal to other folks. Read all the reviews posted here, good and bad. Look at your own financial situation, and decide for yourself if you want to try this particular prebiotic or not. I hope you find something that works for you. Stomach issues like these are not fun, not at all.

Raises glucose level when taken!
I had absolutely no idea that FOS & GOS are carbohydrates. If I wasn’t wearing a CGM, to see my glucose levels, I would never have known that taking this prebiotic would raise my glucose level!
