Effective serum that improves skin texture and hydration
I have been using this serum consistently and I can see a clear improvement in my skin. It feels smoother, more hydrated, and more even in texture. It is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and does not irritate my skin. It works well with my other skincare products and I will continue using it. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to improve their skin.

Excellent product.
I use this product during the day and the hydrating serum at night. I have very sensitive skin which breaks out easily. Both of these products are outstanding. I have been using both for just about a week and can see improvement in my complexion. The dark spots on my face caused by all the sun I soaked up in my 20's-40's have cleared. Skin has got a nice even tone to it and looks much brighter. It even decreases wrinkles a bit. Silky and not too sticky. Another product Cetaphil can be proud of. But use both the Vitamin C serum for daytime (make sure it dries before applying make-up) and use the hydrating serum at night. I wish I had started using these products sooner.

Affordable & effective
My favorite vitamin c serum. Super affordable and my skin always feels refreshed and glowy after putting it on. I do feel like my hyperpigmentation has got a lot better after using this consistently for about 6 months.

Perfect for sensitive skin
This is the perfect vitamin c serum if you have sensitive skin. I have tried other brands in the past that gave me dermatitis around my eyes, and this one does not. It’s light and doesn’t feel heavy. I have frequently bought new bottles again and again because I trust the product!

Gentle, layers perfectly under SPF, but be patient for dark spot results
Because I spend so much time outside walking my dog, I rely heavily on daily SPF. I wanted to add an antioxidant step to my morning routine to help protect my skin and tackle some mild sun damage, so I picked up this Cetaphil Vitamin C Serum. It has been a very solid, gentle addition. Here is how it performs in a real skincare routine: The Texture & Layering: This is the most important factor for me. The serum is lightweight and absorbs into the skin almost instantly. It does not feel sticky, and most importantly, it does not 'pill' or flake off when I layer my daily sunscreen over the top of it. Sensitivity: Vitamin C can sometimes be irritating, but true to the Cetaphil brand, this formula is incredibly gentle. I haven't experienced any redness, stinging, or breakouts since incorporating it into my mornings. The Results: It definitely provides a nice, immediate glow and makes my skin look healthier and less dull. The Drawbacks: The packaging makes claims about visibly reducing the look of dark spots and hyperpigmentation. While it does brighten the skin overall, you have to manage your expectations—topical Vitamin C takes weeks, if not months, of consistent daily use to actually fade established dark spots. Additionally, the dropper bottle exposes the serum to air every time you open it, which can cause Vitamin C to oxidize and lose its potency faster than a pump bottle would. Verdict: An excellent, non-irritating starter serum that layers beautifully under sunscreen. Just be prepared to use the whole bottle consistently before you judge its dark-spot-fading power!

No Glow No Mo'
Don't be fooled - this serum contains a derivative of vitamin C, 3-0-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, that has not been tested thoroughly and its efficacy is currently unknown. Niacinamide, another active ingredient that also helps to eliminate dark spots, can reduce fine lines, and "brighten" skin, is above 3-0-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid on the label and both are high on the ingredient list but no percentages are listed for either. So, is this really a niacinamide or a vitamin C serum? Or both? I've been using vitamin C serums nearly daily with various vitamin C ingredients for over 15 years. The most effective ones have been those that contain the best-tested ingredient, L-ascorbic acid - which is also the most sensitzing. When a certain online retailer was out of stock for over a month with my ride-or-die that I've used for over three years, CeraVe's, which has one of the lowest concentrations of L-ascorbic acid (and least irritating) at only 10%, I thought I'd try this. My bathroom is filled with other Cetaphil products. The serum has a watery gel-like texture that absorbs quickly and leaves a slight but pleasant and soft film that disappears under moisturizer and sunscreen. I use just four drops to cover my entire face, throat, and decollete. The gold "glitter" others are kvetching about in other reviews is totally unnoticeable - you'd have to waste at least an entire dropperful to dispense enough product to sparkle. For the first few times I used the serum, it tingled for a minute or two on application. No irritation or redness; just a prickle. I have other actives in my routine (salicylic acid, adapalene, AHAs) and again, have been using a much stronger form of vitamin C daily for years. Others who use this as their only serum, have sensitive or reactive skin, or don't use other actives daily or consistently may experience more tingling, redness, or other issues with initial use. Having used this serum daily and religiously for two months, here's the verdict: it moisturizes my skin but nothing else. My skin has lost the glow that it had while using an l-ascorbic acid serum, even though I'm using my other anti-aging products at night (adapalene, AHAs). My skin looks matte and some of my lines are more visible since it no longer has the same reflective quality. Since nothing else in my skincare routine, diet, sleep, etc. changed, I attribute the difference in my appearance to the switch in serums. Now that my beloved CeraVe is back in stock, it'll probably take a month for my skin to recover. It's clear that 3-0-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid lacks effectiveness a vitamin C ingredient, at least at the dose in this product, or maybe for experienced vitamin C consumers. Those needing a gentle dark spot corrector may benefit from the undisclosed percentage of niacinamide in this serum - the likely culprit in the initial tingling I experienced - or seek out an actual niacinamide product for that purpose.

Perfect
Here’s the review translated into English: --- Review of Cethapil Vitamin C Serum I have been using Cethapil Vitamin C Serum for a few weeks, and I’m quite satisfied with the results. Its lightweight, fast-absorbing texture makes it perfect for both day and night use. I noticed my skin feels softer, more radiant, and has a more even tone. The vitamin C helps reduce the appearance of dark spots and provides antioxidant benefits, giving me confidence that my skin is protected from environmental damage. It doesn’t leave a greasy feeling and works well with the other products in my skincare routine. Overall, it’s an effective and pleasant serum, ideal for anyone looking for daily care that enhances skin brightness. --- If you want, I can also make a shorter, punchy version suitable for Amazon reviews. Do you want me to do that?

Gentle Brightening Serum That Actually Works
This Cetaphil Vitamin C serum is surprisingly effective for sensitive skin. The lightweight, fragrance-free formula absorbs quickly without any stickiness or irritation. After 6 weeks of morning use, I’ve noticed my dark spots from old acne are noticeably lighter and my overall skin tone looks more even. What sets this apart is how gentle it is - no burning, redness, or peeling that I’ve experienced with other vitamin C products. The addition of niacinamide and botanical extracts seems to really help with tolerance. The dropper bottle dispenses the perfect amount and the serum plays well under makeup and sunscreen. At this price point, it’s hard to beat for a dermatologist-recommended vitamin C serum that actually delivers results without irritation. Gentle, effective, and budget-friendly.

Good hydration
This serum has a nice texture and gets absorbed quickly. I've used up a bottle both AM and PM, not sure if there is any significant change or not. It doesn't work for my dark spots but maybe did brighten my complexion a bit in the end 🤔 It is very hydrating as well.
