Torridon Bouldering: Welcome to the Jumble

A great companion to bouldering in Torridon
Let's start by saying that publishing a physical book, as opposed to an ebook, is always going to be an expensive business and a labour of love, especially when it comes to a niche market like bouldering in the North of Scotland. If you're used to the Northumberland or SMC style guides then you may be disappointed as the paper and quality isn't the greatest. But then it's also only a tenner and represents a lot of work. Would they sell more if it had shinier paper? It's doubtful.Anyway, the content is the most important and it is in this regard that the book excels (even though it barely scratches the surface of what's actually climbable in the area). The descriptions are clear, albeit the topo's are sometimes a little confusing as the boulder outlines aren't necessarily too close to the reality of what's in front of you. Overall, a great companion to have, and by buying it you're helping with the development of the area which, as locations go, is simply superb.

Brought from YHA Hostel- Torridon
Ok i have to say that i waited 28 days and never received this from Amazon.I did however buy a copy In the YHA hostel in Torridon and its pretty good. A bit flimsy and difficult to work out some of the routes as the camera has a wide scope but you know great little book to get some routes ticked

The Torridon Bible
Excellent little book. It has all great topos of the classic bouldering in the Torridon region. Buy this if you're venturing out. Just don't forget the midge spray...
