Finally, a robovac that actually WORKS!
After a disenchanting experience with an early-model Roomba that got stuck on everything and died after only 3 months--and identical results with 3 other brands of robot vacs--I feel like I've finally found a robovac that works the way a vacuum should. I love my Qrevo S! THE GOOD: 1. Setup was easy once I got comfortable with the idea of allowing the Roborock app to have location access. Apparently, it's only needed for setup because I've since turned it off, and it's still working fine. Camera access is not necessary at all if you don't use the QR code for setup. 2. The vacuum function is very quiet (and mopping is virtually silent). No matter the mode, we can comfortably hold a conversation right next to it. After dinner, we just lift our feet and keep chatting while it sucks up crumbs for us. It's been great! 3. It doesn't bump into or get stuck on ANYTHING. As long as you keep the sensors clean, you can pretty much set it and go. I have hardwood flooring, tile, washable area rugs, a regular area rug, a padded rubber mat, high transition strips, and a cat tree with a carpeted base, and this guy can handle all of it. If a cat throws a toy in front of it (or refuses to get out of its way), it'll just go around. In fact, from the very first day, our cats have been completely unphased by our Qrevo S, even when it kicks into a higher suction mode. 4. It doesn't suck up the edges of area rugs. That was a major problem with other brands of robovac, and the curling that resulted became a trip hazard. Not so with the Qrevo! It seems to instinctively know when to lift its little butt to get up onto thicker surfaces, and when to turn down the suction on thin mats, so the edges of all my area rugs are still nice and flat. 5. That first post-vac "slurp" is so satisfying! This is my first robovac with an auto-emptying base, and I'll never go back. I'm not sure if it found a lot of dirt that my regular vac missed, or if it was just inflating the debris bag for the first time, but the "whump" sound delighted me to giggles...because that was the moment I realized I wouldn't have to handle a dustbin. I will never, ever use another vacuum that doesn't empty itself. 6. You can adjust the amount of water the mop uses in each room. This is key when you're mopping hardwood and tile flooring in the same run. 7. You can set the unit to avoid mopping transition strips. We have wooden strips that are pressed in place but not glued or sealed, so this function is super important for us. A word of warning: you have to tell the app where the transition strips are. If you don't, the unit will straddle the strip and attempt to wash it, using the water volume you set for the current floor. So if you're mopping a tile floor that transitions to a wood floor, it will wash your transition strip and several inches of the wood floor with too much water. 8. The mop works with distilled water. We have very hard water, so I was worried about mineral damage, but the unit works great with distilled. 9. It only takes seconds to rinse out the dirty water tank. I had heard horror stories about how funky dirty water tanks can get, but this unit is so easy to dump and rinse after every washing that it hasn't been a problem. THE BAD: 1. The recommended floor cleaner contains tea tree oil, which is highly toxic to cats. There are no other approved cleaning solutions. 2. The mop leaves little pee spots in its path. There aren't very many of them, but there is enough volume in each one to be a potential problem on wood floors if they're left to seep in. 3. The Lidar sensor is so tall that the unit can't fit under most furniture. This is the one and only thing cheap robovacs do better. 4. It doesn't mop all the way to the wall. It does a great job of vacuuming to the edge of the room, but on this model the mop heads don't get all the way there. 5. The mop pads lift up when traveling over area rugs, but not enough. The wet pads will clear thin mats and washable rugs, but will drag across regular rugs, leaving a damp trail behind (and without a cat-safe surfactant at work, it's basically dragging mud across the rug. Ew!) THE UGLY: 1. I'm going to say it again, because it's a legitimate problem: The recommended floor cleaner contains tea tree oil, which is highly toxic to cats. There are no other approved cleaning solutions. There are so many more great things to say about the Qrevo S, but other reviewers have covered those features well enough that they don't need to be said again. Overall, I'm thrilled with my Qrevo S, and I would absolutely recommend it to others. Five stars and two thumbs up!

Worth it at the right price.
I purchased this unit for black friday 2025 and use it once or twice a week. The application is VERY useful. It maps the floor and you can create areas, schedules, and no-go zones on the app. If it gets stuck, you can see where it is on the map, and it maps obstacles and possible hazards while cleaning. You can set it to mop only, vaccuum only, vaccum and mop at the same time, or vaccuum the floor, and then mop. The dock warms up and cleans the mop heads and dries them after its done. Somehow I purchased the unit for $325, I would buy this again and again at that price. But $1400? Depends on your budget. I did hours of research and believe I made the right decision with this purchase. I have absolutely no complaints but the current price would have me considering other options. I read about some people putting fabuloso in the water tank. I recommend either putting 5-10 drops of bleach into the water tank OR taking a cap full of fabuloso and spreading it around the floor just before it begins mopping. Do NOT mix vinegar in the water tank or everything will corrode. Also, I recommend cleaning the dock once every 2-3 weeks. It will take maybe 10 minutes and is very easy to remove, disaaemble and clean. You can also put it in the dishwasher.

Stops working after a few months. So disappointing for such an investment.
I very rarely write reviews but I would have appreciated seeing this before purchasing my Roborock, so I am taking the time to write one. At first glance this vacuum worked great for a few months. And then....we are now approaching 1 year and for 8+ months we have had issues with the vacuum dustbin. It does not empty into the docking station like it is supposed to, so once the vacuum fills up with dust/debris (which easily happens in one cycle of my entire house), it stops working until I manually empty the bin. Doing this daily is not ideal. It is supposed to suck everything out and into a larger vacuum bag in the main docking station, and while I can hear the machine say "emptying dustbin" and hear the suction sound, it does not actually empty the vacuum dustbin at all. This means that if I don't manually empty it, the next time it runs not only does it not pick anything up but it actually drops reclaimed dust and pet hair back onto my carpet in little clumps. So it's creating more of a mess than we started with. We have triple checked for blockages and clogs throughout the vacuum and the docking station, and there is nothing in the way that should prevent the dustbin from emptying. Customer service has been of no assistance, all of their troubleshooting suggestions don't work to correct the problem. I regret this very expensive purchase. I would NOT recommend purchasing one.

Great Robovac for the cheap price I paid.
Excellent Robovac for an even better price, under $500 for a refurbished version feels like a steal. Pros: Cleans great, solid system and performance. Pretty solid app No more dusty floors from infrequently dusted/cleaned floors. Cons: Doesn't do well with charger cords, it will attempt to eat them and get clogged somewhat regularly if you do not make a habit of putting them somewhere it can get a hold of it. The dirty area detector for recleaning/deep cleaning seems to be non-existent. For example, if there is a ketchup stain on the tile floor it will go over it normally and only half the stain is gone and it won't revisit it as the app control suggests. The cleaning solution seems fairly weak but that may be due to the limited time any stain on tile is intact with it. Highly recommended to spray a spot with separate cleaner before it cleans an area. At that point you could just clean it yourself but if you wanna save a washrag or paper towel it's an option. Depending on your expectations the cleaning process can seem slow. Other thoughts: I tried the everyday cleaning method in high traffic areas but it just seems very unnecessary for 3 adults in the same household. I set it up for twice a week for heavy traffic areas aka kitchen, living room and hallways. With a full home cleaning spread out over 2 days once a week.(Home is too large to get it done in one charge so spreading to two days was ideal.) Household will vary but everyday seems like too much. Be sure to clean the sensors regularly as the Robovac can become somewhat stupid in tight areas. Entering areas it fits in but fails to leave the area stating it's stuck when nothing has changed.

Fantastic cleaning robot
Roborock S8 Max Ultra – One Week In: A Real-World Review I’ve been using the Roborock S8 Max Ultra for about a week now, right after moving into my new home. Overall, the experience has been smooth and impressive. 📶 Setup & Wi-Fi Connection During the initial setup, I did run into a common issue: the robot only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Since my home network used a combined 2.4GHz/5GHz band, I had to split the bands and connect the robot to the 2.4GHz network manually. Once I did that, the pairing process was straightforward. 🧹 Cleaning Performance My house has laminate flooring throughout and tiled bathrooms. Right now, we don’t have a lot of furniture, but the robot has done a great job navigating around chair and table legs, accurately detecting and avoiding them with its obstacle avoidance system. I ran two separate cleaning tasks: a full-house vacuum at standard intensity and a full-house mopping. The vacuuming performance was solid—it picked up hair and small debris effortlessly. Some corners were a bit hard to reach, but that’s pretty typical for any robot vacuum. The mopping was also impressive: the floor was noticeably cleaner without being left too wet. 🤖 Smart Features That Impressed Me Two things stood out in a good way: 1. When vacuuming the small bathroom rug, the robot not only detected it accurately but also cleaned it without shifting it out of place. 2. It successfully recognized and marked clusters of charging cables and even a bathroom scale on the app’s map—which was surprisingly accurate. ⚠️ One Minor Flaw The only issue I’ve encountered so far was in my study. The robot detected the modem’s power cable lying on the floor but still spent a little too long cleaning around it, eventually pulling the plug out. I plan to set a no-go zone in that area for future cleanings, which should solve the problem. ✅ Verdict All in all, this was a very worthwhile purchase. The S8 Max Ultra has taken care of the majority of my floor cleaning needs and saved me a ton of time and effort. While it’s not flawless, its performance and smart features have been more than enough to win me over.

very nice
First of all I'm a architectural designer and engineer, so I notice more on the details and my notes below is on observation and following the unit with different app settings. Like: Very nice design, easy setup then have to remap by section if u want by room only vs entire house at once. dislike: the small spinning brush pushes dirt under carpet when u have a runnerm cat litter crumbs when cat comes out doe not pick it all up, it leaves a lot behind, the unit swings hal rotation as it moves forward and it misses cleaning the carpet and the camera does not see the small pebbles of cat litter from his paws, its very visible to the eye, I set the setting this room as the cat litter room with vornado suction and mopping, well no vornado happen and left 30% mess behind, not really a pet clean up. In my living room cat lays on one spot on the carpet, it goes over but wont lift the cat hair, have to use my brush to clean up or my sticky roller. Our Shark vacuum cleaner bot electric and battery picks it up. The extended small mot wheel will not extend, specially under fridge edge (Overhang of door) it swings back and forth as it moves forward and leaves a lot dist on tile and crumbs behind, deep mopping setting is moves by it several times but the spot is still there, not a real scrubber as it claims, the computer video is great but reality is not shown, The small container filled up with special detergent and after 30 day of mopping and used up half a tank of water, not one drop of detergent was used I refilled the bottle that I had to purchase separate it filled to the top, so I know it never used it. Moping tiles, see photo, the shiny is the wet mop but the 10 inches from the wall or objects it will not clean, it seems the mop is in back, the vacuum is in middle not extending out, the spinning brush is not a cleaner and the small mot wheel side of a dollar coin is aways dry and wont extent, on first unit and wont extend on second unit, app is set to extend, but seems it does not. Really dislike: No one from support ever answers any support requests of issues, u can call, amazing after couple minutes on hold u get a answer, well find that its only a person collecting your info and someone is to follow up by email, well no one answers, so I shipped all beck, bought another and issues are identical. I sent videos, photos, etc specific notes but nothing, not sure how they claim to have #1 sales and a committee at a tradeshow and all talk and nothing is done to fix or update the design, competition seems to get better, Roborock top raised circle, suppose to have a laser, never seen it shine, it also in the way to clean under couch and furniture edges it hits it and keeps swinging and missing the dust, cat hair, or other item, a competitor that I'm considering the top goes down so it goes under couch, under cabinets and has 15,000 suction power and they have 2 large mops that swings out on either side like under the doors of the fridge not a dollar coin size that does nothing. I'm on my 3rd unit as I will not hang on to past 30 days when no one answers from support to help and get stuck with it and most likely no one will fix the issues, so I send back and hoping a new one will work, well that one went back, now on #3, so 25 days to go, first run already the extendor does not work as shown in the computer video, so lets see. If no luck, moving one to another brand.

What's not to like?
I previously owned a Roborock robotic vacuum which unfortunately died just months after replacing a worn out battery. I made the mistake of replacing it with another brand that vacuumed, mopped, and self emptied. It worked, sort of - but got trapped way too often and the application was a pain to use. I finally got fed up with it and after reading numerous reviews decided to take the plunge and get another Roborock, the Qrevo S specifically. I have not been disappointed. The Qrevo S has lived up to its potential and easily justified all the positive reviews. The initial mapping was easy and much quicker than I expected. It mapped my entire 2500 sq ft house in one go and did a really good job of recognizing potential trouble spots. The Roborock app, which is new to me, is pretty easy to use. It features "No-Go Zone", "Edit Room", "Edit Furniture" and "Edit Surface" options. So far the only option I've used it the "Edit Room" to give meaningful names to the rooms found during the mapping run. I created "Routines" for individual rooms and sets of room that allow you to determine the Smart Plan type of cleaning: "Vac & Mop", "Mop"', "Vacuum" and "Custom". Then you can adjust "Suction Power", "Water Flow", "Cleaning count" (number of passes - 1 or 2) and the "Route" (fast or standard). Once the I had created the routines I then created scheduled room cleaning appropriate to our needs. Scheduling lets you choose "Full", "Rooms" or "Routine". I have only used Routines so far. When scheduling you pick the "Start" time and how often to repeat. The options are "Once", "Everyday", "Weekdays", "Weekends", or "Custom". For our needs I have only used "Custom" as this allow you to pick specific days of the week to run. There are other capabilities that I have yet to explore. Our Qrevo S has been running on our schedule for 9 days as of this review and has done a great job of keeping our floors clean. The robot has always returned to its docking station when it needs to get more water for mopping or to clean the mops and at the end of a cleaning cycle. The mapping has proved to be excellent as it goes to where it should and not get trapped during cleaning. It handles our medium pile carpets with no problems, always raising the mop heads where needed. My only regret is wasting my money on another brand and not purchasing the Qrevo S when I replaced our previous Roborock.

Strong Start, Disappointing Longevity
After owning the Roborock Qrevo S for a year or two, I can say it was great at the beginning. It did exactly what it was designed to do, and at first I was pretty happy with it. However, over time some issues started to stand out. The dustbin is quite small—much smaller than our old Roomba. Because of that, it clogs easily with dust and pet hair and requires frequent cleaning. The force with which the vacuum empties into the base station is also pretty weak. It often feels like it struggles to fully empty the robot’s dustbin. I don’t have any complaints about the mopping function. It does what it’s supposed to and helps keep the floors clean, but it’s still no replacement for actually mopping by hand. I’ve had a few issues with the robot here and there, but the biggest one was the LiDAR failing. When that happened, the robot couldn’t move properly or complete the jobs I needed it to do. I contacted Roborock support, but they only offered two options: buy a new unit with a terrible discount or send it in for repairs. This was just over a year after purchase, and I was only one month outside their one-year warranty. Luckily, I was able to fix the issue myself. If I hadn’t been able to do that, I definitely wouldn’t buy this again and would look elsewhere in the market.

Simplemente perfecto
Es simplemente perfecto. Llevo más de tres meses con él y la verdad es súper útil, barre a la perfección y trapea muy bien. La detección es muy buena y súper rápida. Lo recomiendo 100%

Returning Within One Year of Use
The machine performs very well overall. However, the quality of the bottom body material feels a bit poor. Note: The maximum threshold height is only 1 cm, even though the machine is advertised to safely climb up to 3 cm.

Roberto! Our home MVP!
I can’t say enough good things about our Roborock, aka Roberto! After trying three other robot vacuums that either got stuck, missed spots, or just weren’t up to the task, I finally found this gem, and wow, what a game-changer! Roberto has truly given us back hours of our lives. The convenience of scheduling cleanings and knowing he’ll reliably get the job done without constant babysitting is priceless. He navigates like a pro, never gets lost, and actually cleans instead of just pushing dirt around. The mopping function is a bonus, and the self-emptying dock? Absolute bliss. Honestly, you can’t put a price on peace of mind and happiness. Not only is my home cleaner than ever, but my back is thanking me too! If you’re on the fence, don’t waste time with other brands—this one’s the real deal. Roberto has earned a permanent place in our home!
