The battery operation makes it even more convenient for use in places where access to electrical outlets is limited.Impressive Flow Rate: With a flow rate of 2.6 GPM (gallons per minute), this pump moves liquids efficiently. It handles gasoline, diesel, water, and oil with ease, making it ideal for car maintenance, draining water, or even transferring fuel.Portable and Lightweight: The compact design and lightweight construction make it easy to carry and store. I can easily take it with me for on-the-go jobs, whether I'm refueling lawn equipment, transferring oil, or moving water.Battery-Powered Convenience: The battery-operated feature is a huge plus. No need to worry about plugging it into an outlet or finding extension cords. The high-quality materials ensure the pump lasts for a long time, even with regular use.Versatile Use: This pump isn’t limited to just fuel or gasoline. I’ve used it for transferring water, oil, and even for emptying small tanks, which makes it a true multi-purpose tool in my home garage.Things to Keep in Mind:Battery Charging Time: The charging time for the battery can be a little longer than expected, especially when the pump has been used frequently. However, it’s not a major issue if you plan ahead.Hose Length: The hoses are of a decent length, but depending on your specific needs, you might want slightly longer hoses for larger tanks or distance.Real-World Use:I used this pump for transferring gasoline into my lawnmower and other outdoor power equipment. It made the process much quicker and cleaner compared to using a traditional funnel. The pump also worked well for draining water from my boat after a rainstorm, and I’m planning to use it for fuel transfers in my vehicle maintenance routine. Very disappointed! The pump easily jams, the battery case threads allow the body to come apart
Very disappointed! I wanted this pump to work. I was pumping water out of plant trays in my greenhouse. When it initially worked, it was very fast. Unfortunately, it was a gutless wonder. I would prefer the motor be geared down to give less speed and more torque. The pump easily jammed, just a leaf fragment or small piece of dirt would jam it because it has so little torque. The pump appears to be designed for two D-cell or 6 AA-cell batteries using the provided adaptors. Two D-cells together did not work because of contact issues inside the top of the battery case. I could use one D-Cell at the bottom, but I had to use one of the AA-cell adaptors at the top so proper electrical contact was made with the pump motor at the positive terminal of the battery. The pump requires a lot of current and the AA-cells quickly get depleted. The threads holding the battery to the pump stripped when I tried to tighten them. Since the battery case is the handle, this made the pump fail intermittently since the stripped threads could not hold the battery case tight to the pump body so the battery did not maintain contact with the positive terminal in the pump body.I can't imagine using this over any prolonged period. It seems like a use-once, disposable kind of item. I reverted to using a manual fluid extractor (sold here on Amazon). It is basically a giant syringe that has great suction and comes with extra O-rings when they wear out.

Great pump
This pump has proven to be a reliable and efficient solution for transferring fuel and other liquids. As someone who frequently handles various types of fluids, I was on the lookout for a portable pump that could simplify my tasks. After using it for several weeks, here are my thoughts:Performance:boasts a commendable flow rate, allowing me to transfer up to 2.4 gallons per minute, which is impressive for a battery-operated pump. Whether I'm moving gasoline, diesel, or even water, it performs consistently well without any hiccups. The suction capability is also quite strong, making it easy to drain tanks or containers quickly.Ease of Use:One of the standout features of this pump is its user-friendly design. The instructions were straightforward, and I was able to set it up in just a few minutes. The built-in nozzle makes it easy to control the flow, and the automatic shut-off feature is a significant safety bonus, preventing spills.Portability:Weighing in at just over 1 pound, is incredibly lightweight and easy to carry. The compact design fits well in my toolkit, making it convenient for on-the-go use. The handle is comfortable, and I appreciate that it doesn't take up much space in my garage.Durability:While the pump is primarily made of plastic, which raises some concerns about longevity, it feels sturdy enough for regular use. I've noticed no wear or damage so far, but I would advise being cautious when handling it to avoid any drops or impacts.Battery Life:The pump operates on two D batteries, which are not included. While I appreciate the cordless design, I did find that the battery life could be improved. After a few uses, I had to replace the batteries, so I'd recommend investing in rechargeable ones for cost-effectiveness.#### Conclusion:Overall is an excellent choice for anyone needing a portable and efficient transfer pump. Its performance, ease of use, and portability make it a valuable addition to any toolkit. However, potential buyers should be aware of the battery life limitations. For occasional use, it’s a fantastic option, but for heavy-duty tasks, you might want to consider a more robust, electric model.**Would I recommend it?** Absolutely! Just be prepared to stock up on batteries.

Flimsy T Connection but moves liquid very well!
This unit is actually a good pump. My first use was to siphon out gas from my snow blower. The problem here is the T connection cable to the pump if filmsy and not secure. They should have put a screw on connection with a washer to prevent leaks for a tighter connection.. I had gas leak quite a bit because it pops off. The pump moves a good volume of liquid so it's not slow and time consuming. I'll try to improvise a better T connection using teflon tape and a zip tie or just a zip tie for a better hold.

Life-Changing Fuel & Water Pump – So Easy, Fast & No Mess!
I’m honestly blown away by how much this little pump has improved my routine. Whether I’m filling my motorcycle, draining water from a kayak, or transferring diesel to equipment, this pump makes it effortless—and fast!Hands-free and spill-free: No more juggling heavy cans or risking messy drips. Just attach the hoses, flip the switch, and watch it move fuel at a smooth 2.4 gallons per minute. I estimated each AA battery set handles ~50‑60 gallons—plenty for even big jobs!Built like a tank: The sturdy plastic housing and reliable motor have held up through multiple jobs in all kinds of weather. Even when there was a bit of grit in the gas, it didn’t clog or hiccup—not what I’d expect from something this price-friendly.Compact & portable: It’s light enough to throw in my trunk or garage shelf. I love that traditional siphoning—lunging in gas—can be completely avoided. One forum user shared:"At $18 bucks… worked better than I anticipated. It beats trying to siphon things and risk getting gas in places it doesn't belong."While rechargeable batteries can get warm under heavy use, that’s easy to manage—just let them cool before replacing. The convenience factor is more than worth the minor prep.Overall verdict: Affordable, reliable, and wildly convenient. If you need a portable pump for gas, diesel, water, or oil, at this price—don’t hesitate. Highly recommend!

Cheap and Cheerful
The pump works but is decidedly cheap and cheerful. The handle disassembles to take batteries and is easy to cross-thread, also comes apart at the light switch end, which is troublesome. A nice touch is the included battery adapter rig that allows the unit to use D-cells to AA. Pump has a relatively short reach, so this won't work to remove fluid from a tank any larger than a small gas can. Exhaust hose is short and flimsy, as is the clip for holding the hose onto the receiving container (it falls off very easily). I'm satisfied at this price point but will order something more sturdy with a longer reach - this item will not replace a good quality fluid transfer pump. I'll update this review as service life continues. I very much doubt it will last long.

Works great, no lifting gas can.
No more spilled gas when filling mower. Just had to learn gas remains in line if you take it out of mower too soon. Make sure line is empty. Still better than gas can spreeing gas everywhere, as can gets to heavy to hold. Just put batteries in and start using. I had one that you had to pump by squeezing, it took forever and never really worked. This will empty a 2.5 gallon can quickly, so no waiting.

Leaked and ran less than 3 minutes total before breaking
Motor stopped working after 3 minutes total usage. I did a couple of 20-30 second test runs, then used it for just under 2 minutes. I paused, and everything was still working fine. When I went to turn it back on, it did not function at all. Changed batteries, same result. There's not even a click or a sign that the motor is trying to do something. Just complete failure. I knew it was cheap and not likely to last years, but I did not expect to get less than 3 minutes. I was not able to finish the job, which is worse than if I hadn't tried in the first place.Aside from that, the hose that connects to the pump itself was just a bit too large, and would not stay connected. So I had to use a combination of tape and zip ties to get it to stay on so I could use it at all. Even with that, there was still a small leak. Depending on the fluid, a leak could be a non-starter even if the motor functions. (Note: the leak slid down, away from the batteries/switch, so can not be the reason for the failure.)WHEN IT WAS WORKING, the suction and flow rate was fine. I would've been happy even if it broke after 6 months.All-in-all, I recommend staying away from this, even if they halve the price.
