Water leak
I like the material of the pot which is made of the clay. However, it leaked constantly. I don't know if it had a crack but it left a water pool on my counter and table.

Not a good kettle.
I’m disappointed. While I knew this would not pour like a more expensive yixing pot, I never imagined it would pour so poorly. It glugs and spills. The handle gets hot, which seems obvious in hindsight. And the pot actually seeps water. I had set out to replace a large yixing pot that I had used as a kettle. This is a terrible replacement. My experience is with tea so this might be suitable for some medicinal purposes, but it is a terrible kettle.

Interesting pot
I was thrilled to see this pot and ordered it immediately, as I plan to make a number of different medicines from plants I have foraged on my property. This pot may need a little "seasoning" and a little TLC, but used properly, it should last for generations. It is a great size, and has a good handle, so it is easy to handle. The size is generous, so you could make enough of a tea to seal and use later, or a goodly amount of soup for two. I think the price is quite reasonable for the quality of this pot, and I recommend it.
