The switch worked perfectly
Every u-tube video I’ve watched would show TVs with multiple A/V outlets. Mine only has a Video (green/yellow)/PB/PR and Audio L(W) and R(R) Component AV IN. So, anything they mentioned wasn’t going to work for me. But, after searching I came across one website that noted if you have multiple devices you may need an A/V switch. Well that was the answer to my prayer, so I purchased the Fosmon 3-way. Once I received the Fosmon 3-way, it took me a few seconds to figure out how to plug everything in to get my VCR and DVD to work. Sure enough it worked like a charm. Each of my Pansonic VCR and Sony DVD surround system are over 20 years old, so if you are like me and about to give up hope. Rest assure, this switch works. Below are the steps I took: For the VCR, I took the Y/W/R cable and connected to the output on the back of my VCR (see pic 1) and the other end I plugged the Y/W/R in the back of the Input 2 on the switch. For the DVD, I took the Red and White cables only and connected to the “Component Output” Audio R(Red)/L (White) on the back of the DVD (see pic 2), and then connected the Red and White cable to the Input 1 on the switch. Then I needed to connect the video to the switch, on the back of my DVD labelled “Monitor Out” (pic 4 )with a yellow connector. So, I used a single yellow cable and plugged in the back of the DVD labelled “Monitor Out” and connected the other end into the video slot on input 1. Then I took another Y/W/R cable and plugged into the output on the switch and then plugged the other end of the cable into the back of the TV labelled Video (green/yellow), Audio L(White) and R(Red) (see pic 3). Do not connect to PB or PR. It won’t work for the VCR. Now, I was ready to test my devices. For the VCR, I made sure Input 2 was selected on the Fosmon. I turned on my TV and VCR, I pushed the source button on my TV remote and tabbed over and clicked on the AV switch to see if I get the blue screen and channel 3. I did….yeah….I placed a VHS tape into the VCR and clicked play. I watched the old version of “Journey to the Center of the Earth” this weekend and the picture and audio was perfect. Next, for the DVD, I selected Input 1 on the Fosmon. I turned on my DVD surround system and TV. I pushed the function button on the DVD remote and selected DVD and selected AV from the TV. The TV showed the DVD display screen. So, I was happy. I placed a DVD on the tray and selected play on the DVD player. I watched “The Net” and again the picture and audio was perfect. I hope this information helps. One final thing, my TV, VCR and DVD are all plugged into an APC surge protector. Karyn

So far so good
Bought only needing 2 of the 3 spots for the splitter, extra space was nice for potential future needs. Simple to use and works, I can’t determine any lag of input

Best Video device idea EVER for both for SAFETY & CONVENIENCE!
HALLE-FREAKING-LUYA...I LOVE it!!! No more chance of damaging the wall-mounted TV because of constantly having to fuss with the feeds! (That's how we broke our 18 mos old RCA 40" TV) Face it, it's always a major nuisance when one needs to access the back panel of today's high tech TVs. Not any more. All we had to do was take the RCA cable already attached to the TV & put the wires on the output of the 3-way splitter. (Took more time opening the package than hooking up the splitter, LOL) After that, the RCA outputs from each of the devices were fed to the Fosmon splitter, now safely mounted on double-backed tape to the cabinet below to keep it from being dislodged. (It won't hurt the unit, but we all know how wiggling around can break those thin wires they use in any modern cable.) FINALLY I don't have to fiddle behind the TV to switch between devices It's now a simple matter of flipping the A-B-C switch to choose from the different RCA feeds. No more having the kids whine to have one of us put on the Wii, DVD etc. They can do it themselves without danger to them or the electronics. Even the 5 yr old's able to switch to her favorite DVD before dinner, freeing me to finish up without worry. Bought 2 more - 1 for my upstairs TV & another for my 94 yr old mom (who's in better shape than most people half her age) & she loved it on sight! My brother happily hooked up her DVR, CD player & Wii Fit to the inputs of the Fosmon & then attached to her TV. The rest of Mother's Day was spent watching mom change from a movie to music to her exercise workout & back. No more having to call us long distance to help her switch out devices over the phone. Now if they only made a gizmo this good to help her with her computer! :) I love it so much I'm getting one for each of my TVs plus I can take one to family/friends' homes & when we travel, since it's so darned handy. I'm ordering still another for my mom so she won't have to fuss with her stuff anymore, either, which she hates so much she'd rather go without watching a DVD than have to play with feeds. It'll make a GREAT Mother's Day gift! (What else do get someone who's 94 & doesn't want flowers, candy or knick-knacks?)

Amazing Purchase
I have an original Xbox, Play Station 1, and Nintendo Wii in my living room and friends would come over to play games with me. It was such a hassle to switch out component cables on the TV, since my newer TV only had one component slot. This Splitter works perfectly. I used a velco Command Strip on the base of this unit and attached it to the back of my TV, out of sight. Now when I want to switch between systems, I just adjust the middle switch to either 1, 2, or 3 for each respective system. The switch snaps into each component and feels sturdy, so I do not feel that this mechanism will ever fail. I wish I would have done this years ago.

The weak point is the slide switch.
This review is for the "Fosmon A1602 RCA Splitter with 3-Way Audio, Video RCA Switch Box + RCA Cable for Connecting 3 RCA Output Devices to Your TV". Except for one thing this is a well designed product at a very affordable price point. I returned mine because the 2nd switch position did not work. The truth is I would have returned it anyway because of how that switch is constructed. Even though there is room enough for the switch to travel a respectable distance of about 3/4" (even 1/4 - 1/2" would do) it only moves about 1/16" in total across all three positions. As I said, I returned the device and spent a little bit more on Amazon's reccomendation of "Panlong 4-Way AV Switch RCA Switcher 4 in 1 Out Composite Video L/R Stereo Audio Selector Box for DVD STB Game Consoles". This unit has one extra input series (four in all) and positions are selected by push buttons vs that terrible slide switch. Note that it does NOT come with an RCA output cable as does the Fosman.

Works exactly as described!
Works perfect. We have it set up to plug in 3 different old gaming consoles so we do not have to unplug everything to switch over.

Delicate but effective. Simple, cost effective device
These are kind of fragile but the price is right and I find they work great for switching between retro game consoles. I use two on my Sony Trinitron and it really helps keep my setup organized and simple. No remote but I prefer this tactile switch to the cheap remotes these usually come with. I label them with tape and you know where everything is. Really a great product for a good price. ** Be careful when you plug and unplug any inputs on the device as not to break the input. They work for a long time if you’re gentle with them **
