I purchased the number of these units they work fantastic very easy to hook up and very easy to decouple. Never leak highly recommend

Easy to connect and disconnect, and does not leak. Rotation at the connector helps to keep the hose from twisting. The only drawback is that the connectors can pull apart under heavy strain, such as pulling on the hose when it is hung up on something. But this is not usually a problem.

Gardena hose systems have worked well for us for over a decade. These supplementary parts work well also, but it would be better if only the parts needed could be ordered.

Seems pretty good. This is the plastic version, so it might not last. For reference, the o-ring is 16mm OD, 11mm ID, and 2.5mm thick. I could not find this documented anywhere and had to take one off and measure it after purchase. This kit does not come with any extras, and you will eventually need replacements. It's a reasonably common size, but it seems like it's generally *not* in a lot of the big collection/variety kits. My experience was that the only cost-effective way to get them was a pack of 50 or 100 of this specific size.

Quick connects are lifechanging. It’s quick and easy to swap out your sprinklers or nozzles, and you can do it without turning your water on and off. They don’t change the water pressure whatsoever and have held up during the hot Texas summers.

This is a great product! Here is a complete kit to get you started with quick connect use. It contains everything you need to quick connect your hose to the faucet, and to quick connect two devices to the hose. The description doesn't mention it - but the hose end quick connect adapter has a valve which stops water when you disconnect whatever you have attached. This allows you to change devices on the hose end without having to turn off the water! I found these items to be completely leak proof when tightened firmly. The best news is these fittings are all compatible with the Ames Tru Temper cassette hose reel systems! UPDATE ONE YEAR LATER: Every single fitting (faucet and device fittings) has broken. Some due to obvious abuse, being sheared right off - and some perhaps not so abused yet still showing hairline cracks that leak water. The problem is the fittings are made from plastic - it breaks, cracks etc. Meanwhile I have brass fittings that are compatible with the quick connect/disconnect hose ends. I wish I could find more of the brass fittings - they are impervious to normal garden wear and tear.
