Monterey Sluggo Snail & Slug Killer, 40 oz, OMRI Listed

Have used this product for years in extensive hosta garden.

I don’t write many reviews, but this product is truly amazing!!! I feed several different kinds of birds and have flowers in my yard. The snails are particularly fond of my bearded iris!! I thought I’d try the Sluggo. I layed it out on Thursday, Friday morning, I doned a glove and hand picked at least 500 snails. The next day, same thing. Another 500, (at least!!) today I went out and gathered several, but when I went to pluck them from the leaves, most just fell off and the ones I gathered, are sitting in the bottom of my jar, not sliming up the sides!!! I’m thrilled with your product and have sent pictures, (gross!!!!) for verification! These photos are from the first, second and third day

I have a good sized yard - 3/4 acre. I need a good snail bait which is easy to spread to take care of the snails I get every year. I've used other products that come in bags and they do a good job but the bags are not the easiest to use when spreading the material. I decided to get this product because the container it comes in makes it easier to spread and get the bait where it needs to be and this product is safe for pets and animals.

With such a wet spring and summer, the slugs have been out of control. I tried the beer in a cup method with no luck but this worked well! Requires occasional re-application given the amount of rain, but I’m really happy with this product.

Great product, pet safe which is a big issue for me! I live in a superslug area! As soon as the sun goes down, my back lawn is covered in these nasty things that eat their way through my garden! I have tried a lot of home recipes like beer on small plates. Works to a point but not with the superslugs!

Works well on slugs and snails. No problem around pets.

Only after noticing that I had an over population of slugs and pill bugs (roly-polies), did I resort to using this product. I usually use crushed egg shells but they were not effective against the current population level. After some researching, I came across this product. Within a week of use, my flowers (foxgloves) noticeably bounced back. Just after a small area application- it has kept the population in check all summer. Would recommend.

What can I say? The slug bait arrived promptly and in good condition. I saw 2 dead snails in one of the areas that I sprinkled it! I like that it’s safe for my pets, and it’s a watertight container. That’s five stars for me!
