It gets hot. It’s a pot not a cup. You can pour the contents into a cuo, though.

No I have not noticed it getting hot. Warm yes.

How hot does it get? if i put oil in, could i get it up to say 350-400 degrees to fry in? i saw something on youtube that may suggest that

It will boil water. And soups. I do t believe it will get hot enough to fry with oil.
