Been wearing this cologne for many years. This is all I ever use. Never gets strong and you never have to worry about putting on too much. It's been around for hundreds of years. The Germans definitely know good quality is colognes.

Having used 4711 for longer than I can remember, I can heartily recommend it for an after shave or skin tonic on a hot summer day. Its fragrance is pleasant and fading, never overpowering. It won't make you smell like a girly man, unlike most of the disgusting modern colognes. It can, and is, used by women too who don't wish to smell like French.... As it can be difficult to track down, it was very nice to be able to find it on Amazon at such a great price.

4711 Eau De Cologne has been a part of my life since my Father gave my Mother a bottle as a gift in 1960, with the explanation of it's origin and it's use by the Roman Catholic clergy on their vestments. I personally have used the cologne as an after shave lotion and scent since 1963 and find it refreshing and spiritually uplifting. Thank you to the Carthusian monk who passed on to the world the gift he was given.
