Excellent case

This made a great case to use to gift a friend money. It is lockable, but it's not a great lock, so don't buy this if you are seriously looking for actual security. The lock could be easily broken with simple tools and a couple of minutes. However, it has a great look and the size is perfect for bills. Our friend loved it.

It’s a cute box to hold cash, but it comes with a key to lock it and it’s cheap and doesn’t work.

I was very confused and angry about the lock, like so many people. I wrote an ugly review and was going to return it. No matter what I did, it seemed impossible to lock this thing. As always…my husband tries it once and the damned thing locked. What locks is not the middle part where the key goes in, it’s the entire silver latch. That’s what locks in place. So turn the key in a complete circle, and that seems to lock it. If you’re like me, just keep turning the key over and over in both directions and…eventually…it’ll lock. You’ll try to pull up the silver latch and it won’t open. That means it’s locked. I do the same thing to open it. This is ridiculous, but the box is functional, it’s just ill conceived. A different kind of lock would have been simpler.
