Can I buy other pasta attachments for the Marcato pasta machine?

Yes. It has maybe a dozen different noodle types. I have 6 of them and use all of them. Ebay has alot in good condition.

This seems very expensive. are there any features that make it worth over $40 usd?

No. Just looks, and even then, we had to order twice to get one the emblem was straight on.

Flour sticks in metal screen any remedy for this besides beating on counter?

Unfortunately, this is just a characteristic of flour, whether in this product or in another strainer/sieve. I found it easiest to hold it upside down and tap it on the bottom.
