Great versatile sneaker for triathlon and other running
I first discovered the Kwicky Blade-Light when a K-Swiss representative had me put them on at an Ironman event. I had always worn Asics or Mizuno before and had suffered from Achilles tendinosis for 2 years so I was wearing special orthotic inserts for that. The K-Swiss guy told me to try to run without orthotics for a little while because these Kwicky Blade-Lights were going to make me run more forward and improve my gate anyway.I'm not sure whether that was just sales-talk, but 2 years later I am now on my 8th pair of these shoes and I love them. They are very light and much less bulky than any other shoe I have had before, and they serve me well both for day-to-day run training as during races. You can really feel that once you pick up the pace and lean forward more they provide improved traction (which I guess is the Blade technology). I have not once put the orthotics back in my shoes and my Achilles is pain-free now.And the water-repellent fabric feature may sound stupid, but from experience I know that during the run of an Ironman I spend 3 or 4 hours throwing ice and water over myself at every aid station, and these shoes do an incredible job at keeping that water away from my feet, so for me that is a major plus.I know the K-Swiss are a little pricy, but for me they are totally worth the money. For reference, in season I run about 30 to 40 miles a week on them (all outdoors and on paved road) and replace them approximately every 3 to 4 months. I then continue wearing them as casual sneakers until the next replacement.

Good shoes for IM 70.3's
I've used these shoes for a couple of 70.3's and they worked really well. What I liked was I was able to run in these without socks for the 13.1 mile runs, with no blisters or foot issues. I was in hot locations in both races, so I was pouring water on my head which was eventually finding it's way into my shoes. These shoes drained fairly well, and I didn't find these shoes gaining a lot of water weight during the race. The downsides are that the hydrophobic coating they used seems to wear off a bit over time, meaning they were more water repellant in my first race than my second race a year later. They are also a little on the heavy side and not as ventilated as I'd like, with my feet getting a bit hot. Overall though, they were really effective at that length race. I use lighter weight shoes without socks on shorter races (i.e. Zoots) where I'm not as worried about blisters.

Product ratings on Amazon products are of the utmost importance to me, therefore when I saw eight five star ratings, I jumped on this purchase. These K-Swiss's are extremely comfortable and look great. They are also supportive of my 6' 3" 270lb. frame. I believe these surpass Brooks and Asics for comfort. Since they are new I can not yet compare the durability. However, just by the feel of the materials I can tell they will be with me a long time. A good pair of shoes is like driving the right car. You have to feel comfortable and safe in what is supporting you. I would recommend these to anyone except someone who is extremely heavy. I noticed on K-Swiss's website they have a pair that is more heel supportive for heavier folks or people with heel issues.

Not for the serious trainer
They're ok for the casual runner. However, if you are looking to run more than a dozen miles a week, you might want to look for a better shoe. Very light and breathable, but felt like running barefoot on concrete after just a few weeks.

The Perfect Running Shoe
I love this shoe. Fit is perfect, Breathing is perfect, Design is perfect and the Silver/Black Digital/Fiery Red color looks really cool. K-Swiss is my running shoe for life (assuming the company can survive). Best of all it is endorsed by Kenny Powers [...] !Support American Small Business. Buy K-Swiss!

Nice shoe for races, 5K, and short mileage
Fits well. Very Light. The liner could be more comfy. I'll put speed laces in them and use them for sprint triathlon races, but they are not really supportive enough for long runs (I'm 6'4" and weigh 186). They are nice looking and the color is just like the pictures.

Well-ventilated Shoe
I purchased these shoes on a recommendation from a fellow runner following a long run on a hot summer day, which resulted in a sloshing sound coming from my feet with every step, not to mention a plodding sound from shoes that had doubled or tripled in weight from the start of the run. The Kwicky Blade-Lights are a terrific lightweight shoe with a number of vents along the side and bottom of the shoe. I used them for every long run during my half-marathon training, and for the half-marathon itself, and never sloshed around in my shoes again. The fabric doesn't allow sweat to permeate, and the holes on the sides and bottom allow for water to be pushed out. This can work in the opposite way as well, so take care to avoid puddles if you do not want a wet foot. This is also a negative if you frequently run on a treadmill, as the heat from the friction on the treadmill surface will also go right up to your feet.

Great shoe
K-Swiss is a brand I really like and this is no exception. As ever, you have to run 50 miles or so to get them fully worn in but after that they are fantastic!
